Ryan Bittle.

One of my first crushes. I am going to have to check this out just for him. I am also genuinely curious as to what it will be like though.

I'll be crying out loud if she does.

I am OK with minshew in the role but I think the role needs more layers. Not the SAME EXACT layers as Erica because I don't want this to be a Tess/Jess; Niki/Vikki (SP?) thing but they need to explore her early life. I wish they would explore her and her adopted families life more. I would even like to see her adopted parents (or relatives) trying to reconnect with her.

If we have to have Kendall back, and imo we really don't, I'd rather see them explore her relationships with her adoptive parents and how she could so easily turn her back on them when she learned Erica was her biological mother instead of more Zzzzendull drama.

Thanks, Errol! I loved how Jill Larson summed it up.

I would say so too, they've had Eden close the opening credits before, I think I would go for either Bianca or Opal opening the credits this time around.

I suspect that's part of the opening, too, but ITA with Opal being another good choice.

Maybe she is visiting JR

Ewing? Otherwise, why bother recasting just to kill him off?

I think I'll love that. I do want the old music though. Something about the AMC theme just was so warm and inviting.

I want the old theme, too, and I hope they bring back the "dum, dum, dum" of the opening transitioning into the last scene again.

I have to admit, as hungry as I am for information, I'm really glad PP is playing this close to the vest. I mean, we know a little bit based on audition scripts, but they've done a good job at keeping storyline details and spoilers to a minimum. That was honestly one of my main complaints about the final years of AMC on ABC - there wasn't a lot of incentive to watch it when you could read nearly everything that was going to happen in advance.

So... good job PP! I'm looking forward to being surprised!

ITA! Soap spoilers can be too specific and deter you from watching. Although I do want preview videos of what's going to happen each week, maybe posted on YouTube as well to bring more viewers over to Hulu.

Personally I don't mind spoilers but I'm kind of enjoying the not knowing where things pick up. I'm actually thinking of doing the first week or two as an offliner just to approach them completely fresh.

YES! I would love to see a story about this. She left PV in part because her adoptive father died. I could get behind a story in which her adoptive mother has cancer or some other illness, and Kendall is forced to deal with the fact that she abandoned her adoptive mother as soon as Erica and Bianca gave her the time of day.

I even thought it would be interesting if Alice had a foster child she adopted after Kendall ditched her, and Kendall ended up with guardianship over a teenage girl when Alice died, a young woman who hated everything Erica Kane because she knew how much Kendall's abandonment hurt Alice.

I like spoilers but I do think ABC Over Prescribed a little bit.

Thanks for info. Paula is stunningly beautiful and I look forward to what she'll bring to AMC! She's done a ton of work! I wonder who her man on the show will be? Griffin? Zach? David?

They'll probably hook her up with Griffin. Because, you know, that wouldn't be weird or anything. #GuidingLight

Was she the actress who played his cousin Pilar? I thought that name sounded familiar! I remember she was very green but had a lot of potential back then. They probably will pair her with Griffin.. though it would interesting if she is tested with JR.

She is for justice and following the law while JR seems to have trouble with that.

Could be JR. Would make for an interesting dynamic.

If they hadn't put the part about a man opening her heart, I might have even thought Bianca.

Yep she was on GL as well. That is cool she is going back to her soap roots

I take it that she starts filming next week when AMC resumes filming

I continue to be pleased with the level of diversity AMC seems to be delivering. I also like that this female character sounds like a genuinely strong woman with a life, job and backbone (even though the "open her heart" stuff sounds straight up Harlequin romance but, hey it's a soap!)
