AMC: The Prospect Park Era (old production thread)

As far as the nudity, it really won't annoy me as long as it makes sense. Of course, part of the reason why they're doing it is because they WANT to show off these young, nubile bodies, and that's perfectly fine, but they can do that in ways that make sense. So Peter takes a shower? By all means, let's ogle his flawless ass as he steps out and towels himself off. Cassandra and JR are having a secret love affair? Sure, let's see JR's hand glide over her chest. I'm fine with that. I like that better than David Vickers pompously strutting around in a US flag speedo.

What they are planning on isn't that different from when the shows left then netowrks. They were saying Bit*ch, B@$T@RD, Damn, and even wh0re!! Also, these are the same soaps that had "Love in the afternoon" as it's campaign back in the 80s. The 90's were far from prudish either! Also, look who is writing the shows (HW's and otherwise). Daytime veterans.

I noticed that there were some grumbling posts on Hulu when I looked at the comments section. One poster actually grumbled that they couldn't see the shows on Huluhuh.pngwacko.png I wasn't surprised that no one bothered to respond to that person's post since the start date of streaming was posted at the top of the page. I know some people aren't technically aware but some cases seem to require a 'full on' tutorial.

Hopefully people will come to appreciate that there are some things that are beyond control and that just a year ago, these shows were considered dead in the water. Certainly this is an improvement over no show at all. I realize that the people who produce soaps over the decades have committed some short-sighted and flat out dumb and petty actions but the PP people seem to be functioning in the spirit of simple practicality. If these shows are successful, we can only assume that there will be room for future returns.

I just think it's ultimately a case of instant reaction without even reading or trying to 'figure things out'. I'm still lol-ing at the person who posted on Hulu that it's $7.99 for each episode. I just don't see it being THAT confusing at this point but I'm also not 'everybody' so IDK.

Here is what I am writing to everyone:

Since day 1 they have said AMC/OLTL WILL BE FREE if it is watched on regular HuLu. HuLu *****PLUS***** is free for one week!!!!! HuLu Plus allows you to watch on a mobile device or on the TV *****WITHOUT****** AGAIN *****WITHOUT***** having to hook your Computer to your TV. So if you can (Which you should if you bought your laptop or PC after year 2002 but I am sure a can still buy an "Adapter" for it) hook it up to your computer it will be free. Also, the 7.99 per month is NOT just for AMC/OLTL nor is it per episode *****BUT***** for other HuLu perks as well. 7.99 per episode for show that runs 4 days week for 42 weeks a year would be the definition of stupidity.

Also, this may be cheaper than cable. It is the same thing.

--------

God this is making me mad!!

Whatever it is, it's got walls, something other than natural light, the actors are wearing wardrobe and makeup and it's not filmed through a handycam, so I'm good!

I wonder when we'll get more from OLTL. So far there's just the Corbin Bleu shot. I'm itchy, what can I say.
