AMC: The Prospect Park Era (old production thread)

I gotta say the castings of Ryan Bittle as Adam "JR" Chandler II, Eric Nelsen as Adam "A.J." Chandler III, Denyse Tontz as Miranda Montgomery and Robert Scott Wilson as Peter "Pete/Petey" Cortlandt are fantastic and props to Alison Goodman and Michael Morlani the Casting Directors!

Denyse Tontz is really the spitting image of both Eden and the last Miranda. And she sounds like Riegel and has the mannerisms. Really excellent.

I like Eric Nelsen a lot too. And seeing Ryan Bittle on video, he comes off a lot less stiff. It's aging the character a bit (not that much given JY's actual age), but it's necessary, there is a time gap, and it's nothing compared to what old Irna used to get up to with SORASing in the '60s and '70s. And he's a hot daddy.

I'll reserve judgment on Stovers or Stouffer's or whatever her name is. I remember cringing at the casting of Yaya and then I thought she did pretty well, though she was green. Then she turned out to be excellent in a series of character parts in films, just excellent. I always thought it was a mistake for AMC to dump her.

ITA with you both! I was a little worried what caliber of actors they would get but these all seem like excellent choices. I'm so excited for AMC to return!

$2 per episode is a lot of money for a show (or two shows) airing 4 or 5 times a week. I wonder if there will be an iTunes discount for these soaps.

they are charging? I thought this was free to view?

I get that, but outside of who's hired and what everyone will be wearing, there really is no discussion about the shows themselves because there is nothing to discuss.

But again, I have no dog here so I really have no input.

yet there's 14 pages worth of discussion for something with "nothing to discuss". Its not like these shows are a dead zone around here with no one talking about them

That's for itunes Cheap. They charge for shows, and they do have season passes though. That is pretty expensive overall for something like itunes.

Thanks. Another related question, but does anyone know when these will air? Will they go up at a certain time during the day? We still don't know how many episodes there will be in a week?

I think we're not quite there yet on the two threads tip. What I think would be more helpful is if we give Errol the benefit of the doubt that he'll post information as he gets it and not let ourselves ask eight pages' worth of "Have you heard?" questions.

4 times a week the shows will air, and a recap show on Fridays(which seems pointless IMO)

Kind of the end of an era, no more "live threads" unless folks agree to watch together at a specific time.

Me too.

Heck, I actually thought he could act circles around Josh Kelly (I know that's not saying much!). And I don't see people complaining about Cutter's unnecessary presence in Llanview.

I spent most of 2011 doing that.

Why don't every one watch at one on the East coast!

We could have a live thread like usual and watch AMC/OLTL/GH all after one another again. And, have our live threads.

True that, it definitely is the end of an era.

I work during the day so no live posting for me. No more live AMC hos. That died on ABC. Oh sh-t, just realized no Friday hos either

Exactly. We are past the "nothing to discuss" phase. There is actually stuff to discuss for AMC. Actors are cast and the show is taping. Soon there will be news about the GH/OLTL hostages and that will have nothing to do with AMC.
