I think people arent going by number of years spent on the show so much as years he was active and going by that anyone from the 80s would be considered a vet

He came in 1984 and left in 88. He returned in 89 and left in 91. He came for a brief stint in 94-95

Oh. So, in real life speak, we're confusing "veterans" with "nostalgia." Got it. You don't have to put in over a decade of work to be a vet, you just have to be part of a decade people feel good about.

Who decided that someone has to be on a show for 10 years to be a vet? Where did that rule come from?

Jack Wagner was on the show for several years. He played a beloved character. He is a soap vet in the traditional sense that it is normally used.

I think the fact that Frisco is part of what is probably GH's second biggest supercouple also secures his status as a vet.

Ian Buchanan was only on GH for 3 years and he's considered a vet, but yeah like Soapboy said it's probably from more of being part of the big GH supercouples of the 80's
