If Steve was mine or any member of my family's doctor, I'd ask for a second opinion.

Yes. I had no idea what that meant till Steve so smugly told me what was happening. Before Steve said something, I just assumed that beeping was a signal for everyone to leave the room because it was time for Trey's nap or sponge bath.

I'm still kinda confused why Luke was in prison in the first place--and so easily released then. He got himself arrested to findout info about Duke in prison? I mean I know Turkish Prisons are notoriously shown--at least since Midnight Express for being harsh, and RC had David rotting in one for months with Clint only having to bribe a few people there, but...

I think VH meant Reeves' religious beliefs.

Rest assured his religious views (which, unlike his wife, he has never made a production of as far as I know) have nothing to do with why I dislike him. I think he's a charisma black hole with zero acting ability, and I think he always has been. The only difference is that he has become The Thing in recent years.

I kinda liked the Anna and Sonny scenes. I don't want it as a regular thing but I liked it. Finola is just ... sigh. God, I love her. The mere mention of Robin's name and the pain instantly showed. Just terrific. However, I wasn't all that thrilled of her running into Luke's arms like a teenager. I have NOT missed them together. At all. I do like Anna's position in it though. I hope the Duke angle is explored more because right now they need to be in scenes and discussing things. They're just jumping into this triangle. Yeah, the reminded us about Duke and Anna as Faison was masquerading as Duke but now that Duke is actually here ... IDK. I want a little more. I'm sure I'm just being impatient. It also annoyed me to see Anna's reaction because she all but shrugged her shoulders when he left and she found out he was taken prisoner in Turkey. She had Duke back and just couldn't care less. It was kinda jarring. I know it wasn't meant to be seen like that, I'm sure but that's how I took it. This triangle just ... IDK.

I have liked seeing Mac and Felicia a little more. Especially with Duke. So nice. I just can't believe when I turn on GH that I get to see Lucy, AJ, Monica, Felicia, Duke, Anna, Faison, etc. It's still surreal.

The Maxie storyline is so ugh. But, not gonna lie, I'm finally becoming a Kirsten Storms fan. I think she has actually done a pretty good job in this and as annoying as Maxie is by always keeping her mouth shut and causing herself more problems, this aspect has been OK for me. I do hate the storyline and find it all so pointless and convoluted. I'll skip on talking about Spinelli. If you don't have anything nice to say ... why is Maxie so head over heels for this thing? Ellie I can buy. I like Ellie and Spinelli together and the actress playing Ellie is very talented. They need to keep her around. I just feel like she will ultimately be a victim of this storyline.

I really miss when I liked Luke. I don't know why but I am so disappointed he's back and I hate feeling like that. It's nice seeing Dante and Lulu staying together. Kinda rare for a younger couple on soaps. The writing for them is a bit too sugary sweet and boring. It also doesn't help I like Dante a little bit more away from Lulu. And while I get the baby thing is huge for Lulu, I'm kinda over her constantly obsessing over it and Maxie. She's like a broken record. Doesn't she work? Isn't there SOMETHING else she can talk about?

Oh, almost forgot about Kawny and Olivia. I actually didn't mind that. I do take issue with the fact that Olivia and Sonny are both practically crawling to Kawny just because she's FINALLY showing human relatability. I think this kind of writing should have been there months ago. It just seems so far into it and they are using Sonny and Olivia to try and make Kawny viable. It is sort of working for me, honestly. I wish I cared more about Kate/Kawny though. Nothing against Kelly Sullivan but I still see Megan Ward as Kate. I can't help it. I really liked her. I could absolutely buy Sonny wanting THAT Kate back, not this Kate, so I'm kinda OK with Kawny sticking around. She is so offensive yet entertaining at the same time.

I miss AJ and Lucy on my screen.

I don't know about the Heather example. IMO, if it wasn't him (as her son) that was the last to know, it'd be someone else (whoever'd be her paramour, for instance) playing that clueless role. It's a soap storytelling staple, as annoying as it can be.

I will say that I've never once bought him as Liz's brother, since I can't see any sibling chemistry between RH and SR. At best, they seem like cordial coworkers while RH and JT have a more believeable connection.

The Sonny/Anna scenes were ok, and Mo/Fin have a natural chemistry. It was good seeing a different interaction. What was my challenge, you ask? The whole thing was about Kawny and pushing that POS on the audiene some more. I can't believe someone took from that scene that Sonny was being propped when he's become the biggest pu$$y on Daytime (looks like Mo is lucky to be attached to Kelly Sullivan and not the other way around). Once again, we are being asked to understand, embrace and love Kawny and feel her pain. NOT GONNA HAPPEN! Nothing that transpired onscreen relates to Kawny's current heartbreak over losing a kid. NOTHING! My other challenge? Anna calls Sonny down to the station and asks him not to go after Duke? Excuse me, but when in the sam hell did Sonny know anything about this, and if he is in the know, Sonny would be aware that it was Faison and not Duke. That was so awefully contrived, and again, to give the audience another reason to embrace Kawny. !@#$%^&*] her! And I'll ask again, does Sonny know that he has no money in his name?

Yep! Now we know it takes two commercial breaks to get from Turkey to Port Charles. There's nothing else that can be said here.

Spixie - PUKE! That's all.

What else happened yesterday? Oh yeah, nothing!

See, outside of SR being completely orange, I never really had a problem with him. He does not get good material at all, but SR is not good enough to rise above it like JT. He's average at best. I'm super happy he's not singing, but I'd keep him and get rid of ugly ass Spinelli!

    • From what I just recently watched, they were setting her up to go into future stories. She was Emmy nomination worthy in the material I saw. If some viewers did not like her, the character could have been rehabilitated after that sick storyline. It feels like they destroyed a character for fun and then tossed her to the curb. Spencer had chemistry with everyone. I'm just retroactively angry on Spencer's behalf.
    • CBS was back in third place in 1994/95. That was the season CBS lost NFL broadcasting rights which also cost them several established affiliates in major media markets. 1995 CBS was sold to Westinghouse and Les Moonves arrived. 1995/96 CBS was trying to be young and cool to compete with NBC and Fox, but it was an epic failure and CBS was once again in third place.
    • I tend to think that Chad will actually listen to Jen (this time). And that will be the next stumbling block in their relationship, which will open the possibilities for Cat to seek another member of their love triangle... To iterate my earlier thought, I am also not a fan of the person Melissa Reeves, but the character of Jennifer looks so chic this week, especially in comparison to Hope (and Gabi).  That blunt haircut is a winner.
    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. Their connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters. All this talk of Jennifer being in the wrong regarding Cat is absurd. Jennifer is not being villainized in any way, shape, or form, she's just being allowed to actually be human, which adds odds to the obstacle of Chad and Cat eventually getting together. All inner conflict. Keep it coming!
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
    • My hunch is what you've described. JFP is likely back working on transitioning the show to a new studio and embracing new technology for its production model.
    • The woman who was the co-chair of Latinas for Trump is now complaining about his targeting immigrants that she thought were "safe." I also read a puff piece from yet another "insider" journalist who lives to normalize fascists - this one with a tech bro who was venting off the record because he thought voting for Trump was cool and would show up the Democrats and maybe we'd get Greenland, but now he's getting upset.  These people still support Trump, and Republicans, they just want to make sure they get credit for being respectable. And they will get it.
    • I really do wish someone could. Just a few characters in very simple backdrops, with very real problems that are just a little larger than life, like the '50s and '60s. All the characters having a level of dignity or respect. And their inner lives are what dominate the story, even if there are outside forces at play.
    • It's a lesson to never be loyal because once your use is up, you're shown the door. MSW was the only bright spot for CBS for awhile, and once they were back on top... they promptly sabotaged the show as a repayment for all that the show had done for the network.
