EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

It's an interesting turn of events when Days of Our Lives is the show with the good younger actors, none of whom have the generic soap hunk look, like Blake Berris and Chandler Massey, Casey Deidrick, Nathan Owens, and Freddie Smith -- while AMC is muscley himbo model land.

Hoping for more inspiring choices for JR and AJ. That ATWT actor rumor for JR really needs to be true now.

There was a rumor someone tweeted that whoever was cast as JR had been a popular ATWT vet. No names were given and the source is unreliable.

That's part of the point. He doesn't even have any major experience in acting that we know of. Trent Garrett had at least been in major commercials and developed a following from them.

He could have done plays in high-school, etc.

He may be a bad actor BUT I think we should at least wait to see him in the role before we judge.

People need to just remember that people get their starts somewhere. Susan Lucci definitely comes to mind.

TOLN isnt even gonna air the shows. I dont get the reason for The On Line Network. why not just say PP

Prospect Park is to TOLN what Disney/ABC Television Group is to ABC Entertainment (which encompasses primetime, daytime, latenight, etc).

The difference is that instead of airing their shows on their website/network, they will produce them for Hulu and the like.
