Loved Hells except for the last few years when she's been defanged lol pun intended. She's supposed to be the black widow spider completely deadly not making empty threats all the time like Guz been writing her last runs. I cheered when RC wrote her killing her own duaghter. THAT's my Hells, a cold bitch villainess.

I liked ME on PC a lot more than I ever did on OLTL or GH. I'm not going to presume to speak for "most" as who the hell knows really what the majority enjoy or not.

There is no way in hell Van Hansis or Tom Pelphrey could pass for the father of a teenaged son. Jacob Young couldn't.

(Though Jacob Young could as I have a high school friend with teenaged children. Don't get me started.)

Saying the rumor is correct, I'm finding it very difficult to think of which ATWT actor it could be. I wouldn't consider Dylan Bruce popular (or a great actor), but I could see him being picked. Eric Sheffer Stevens could be an option, but he might be a little too old (40). Agim Kaba is the only one I'd be excited about out of the ones I can think of. He was good looking and could act. I could buy him as JR. I doubt they'll age the role considering they still wanted Jacob Young and you can't go too old with Cady McClain as JR's mother.

I was also thinking ESS, but I thought he was younger than that. He is a friend of a friend from NY theatre and I assumed that he was our age (early 30s, like JY).

I still say that the guy who played Brody on OLTL would make for a good J.R., though they may not be willing to lose him as Brody should they choose to bring the character back. I also ruled out ESS because I've got it in my head that J.R. is blond, or at least light-haired.

Van Hansis is actually 31 ... I keep thinking of him as young teenage Luke but he started in the role 8 years ago and he spent half of his 20s on ATWT. Tom Pelphrey is 30 and Jacob Young is 33. They're all around the same age.

The more I think about it, the more I think it could be Van. It would be an interesting choice, and I'd be glad Van wasn't typecast despite being so identified with Luke.

Watch it be Jake Silbermann, haha.

Other people who haven't been mentioned inlcude Zach Roerig (who preceded Billy Magnussen as Casey), and various Adam Hugheses -- Matthew Morrison, Matt Cavenaugh, and Tom Degnan. I'd be fine with any of them, or Van. Agim Kaba on the other hand seems kind of dullsville, which would be in keeping with Jacob Young I guess!

I'm really hoping this rumor of JR being an ATWT vet is true ... Getting so much speculation going!

The guy who played Brody would be an EXCELLENT choice. I'm surprised we haven't heard more about him working. He could also play Steve Burton's little brother (or son, heh) on Y&R.

I couldn't see Van Hansis in the role, simply because he seems so skinny and I'm used to Jacob Young's more soap hunk look. I'd like Tom Degnan back as Joey, but I wouldn't be disappointed if he were playing a role on AMC. He did a good anti-hero on ATWT, so he could work as JR.

Dylan Bruce was dreadful. And creepy.

I can't buy Van Hansis playing str8 and I don't believe anyone else can, either.

Personally, I'll shoot for the stars and hope for Billy Magnussen, though it's not gonna be him. He can work that 'knocked up a chick as a college kid' vibe like J.R.

ZR and Matthew Morrison are both on popular (or once-popular but still-running) high-profile primetime shows. Rule them out. Matt Cavenaugh, I believe, is mostly into theatre, but I suppose he could be a possibility. Not likely, though.

I honestly doubt it's Tom Pelphrey now. Who would ever refer to his time at ATWT over his time at GL?
