HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

I love Ilene Kristen, but I really think they can afford to get around to recurring Roxy later.

And please don't bring up the shitty camerawork on ATWT's "remotes" which were basically the GL Peapack project all over again.

There are several old articles on the Broadcasting Engineering website about that too.....lol

That's such a nice message from her. AMC is putting all its eggs in the older characters basket in terms of returnees. I see the OLTLers who are all excited about their child actor signing back on and I think AMC is missing some opportunities for excitement with the 5 year jump and the clean slate for anyone under 30. There seems to be a lot of this "AMC hasn't contacted me" stuff from actors who would be interested, across all ages, moreso than OLTL.

I'm the exact opposite. AMC was filled to the rafters with plot point kids and I will be more than happy not to have to deal with them again and frankly I find all these grown folks following and fixating on child actors to be creepy.

The actor reveals he was in talks with Prospect Park about returning to OLTL as Tomas. "I was in negotiations for ONE LIFE recently," he discloses. "I've always felt that online is the future of a lot of television and I think it’s agreat idea. I think Prospect Park is really smart to have licensed the rights to these shows and I I think it’s great that they’ve gotten the funding and are making it happen. Ultimately, we couldn't reach a deal, but we left doors open."

I bet he's happy he didn't take their deal since he ended up getting cast in a more high profile project. He could always return once he finishes filming that show. It could be a win-win for him, or it could lead to more primetime gigs.

Kassie DePaiva, who will reprise the role of Blair on the new ONE LIFE TO LIVE, tweeted about visiting her new professional home. "I went to the new OLTL/AMC studio yesterday," she wrote. "OMG- so excited I cried. Sets are being built Costumes designed Magic is in the making #OLTL"
