I agree on both counts. I don't doubt there is network interference for the least in the beginning when they were hired they were hired based on the strength of their stories, which were either bad, poor executed or dull. NBC/Corday will interfere with story, but what was the excuse for the pacing, breakdowns and scripts? It was so slow! Even what worked or had potential wasn't executed very well.

I remember when AMC ended and we all still thought the show was moving online in January, I came up with the craziest idea of who David's last blonde patient was, and how she was connected to the canvas.

Ok I think PP is securing its contract actors first. I could see them bringing ilene back but as a recuring character

While I understand Prospect Park's methods, I think it's utter crap how they've handled things thus far and most definitely the first time around.

If PP doesn't do a full opening for OLTL, then they should just use a title card with the last few bars of the current theme as heard in Viki's mid-show bumper. I just love that particular part of the music...

I do agree I understand wanting to keep things close to vest, but I dont like actors having to announce their signings. PP should do that with SOD which they have started with the casting breakdowns.

So hopefully the press release we get this week on the AMC writers & OLTL/AMC castings will be the first of many from PP

You guys are lucky if they can afford two standard sets, let alone a fully fleshed out opening.

I wouldn't be shocked if they went the title card route and gave us a 5 second opening.

It probably has to do with the rights to use the faces of actors who are no longer on the show.
