I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

This may sound gross but I wonder if the next "Social Issue" they could tackle should be Porn Addiction. I am serious. Maybe their issues stem from Jack become so "Into" porn that he can't "Get It Up" unless he watches porn. That actually happens. It could be a comical yet a serious story.

I'm with Vee. No offense, allmc, but I'd rather watch Charity Rahmer perform the "Out, damned spot" speech from "MacBeth." (Which isn't nearly as campy-good-fun as it sounds.)

I know someone who know someone, etc, so take this for what you will. But the network and Corday did interfere with their stories, and when they tried to put veterans in the forefront - the ideas were never given the green light.

I think some of their ideas had potential, and probably were ruined by interference (Jack's PTSD). The story they got the most hoopla for, Will's coming out (AKA yelling at his mother and making sex eyes at EJ while the actual coming out barely happened), is one of the worst written stories I have ever seen on daytime.
