Thanks. I was pretty sure I read some ravings from her and I thought, based on those ravings, that Days was well rid of her. I wonder how her name rose to the top of prospective writers for the reboots with so many other choices out there.

Like I said previously PP may actually listen to the fans if unlike ABC did. If they are serious about this I am sure they will so if we complain about her writing once the show airs I am sure they will make necessary changes. Also, I wonder how she will do with someone like Agnes grooming her. Also, her co-head may be able to balance her out. Plus the network won't be interfering.

Haha, congrats, SoapBoy!

I'm really excited by these choices and think they are just the right mix of fresh and experience in writing soaps. I have no problem at all with Marlene McPherson. Days won the writing Emmy last year for the first time ever-- she must have been doing something right.

+1 I think she will, in the words of Shirley Caesar, be "sweeping through the city" to restore a sense of integrity and sophistication at OLTL. She was largely responsible for my favorite era of the show. She remains close with Erika Slezak and she was instrumental with the DID s/l so I'm hoping she'll revive and restore Viki and Dorian's dynamic relationship. Dorian really crumbled into a kooky mess and I hope Robin Strasser is a part of this project and we get to see that wonderful mid-'90s version of the character again. If anyone can fix the mess and loose ends of Victor's murder, if they ever decide to go there, it's someone like SBH. She has a true affection and respect for the show and counts her time there as the highlight of her career. I think PP has made a very wise choice. I realize that lighting can't strike in the same place twice, but better to launch this venture with someone who has the relationship she has with the show.
