When did they go back to targeting to their primary audience (males 18-45)? Because from what little I've seen lately says otherwise. WWE has steered from the model (i.e. The Attitude/Ruthless Aggression eras) and audience that made them #1 years ago. The ratings they once made now goes to VH1 Monday nights.

No. The Katie Vick story was controversial, but that wasn't the straw that broke the camel's back. IMO, I didn't mind the rivalry and thought it was good storytelling--something the company lacks now, thus resulting in sales and viewership being down drastically.

I personally disagree as a wrestling fan. Yes, they have AJ constantly attached to a male superstar, but I don't see WWE as soap. Half of the canvas lacks story--95% of the rivalries don't drive/have a story. It's all pointless booking.

I'm the one who started all the Foz head-scratching, not denying it, but I do concede that as Head of Production, his specialty needn't be the creative side of soap operas. He can trust that to his HWs and EPs. Most important is his business/production acumen. I still think he'll need to work with his team closely to get a handle on soaps as anyone who has not worked in the genre would need to do, but as a big fan of EP Linda Gottlieb's OLTL, I realize that a background in soaps isn't imperative for soap success. And it's not like Brian Frons had this great mind for soaps. McDermott's obviously a creative type and he's been successful running production, so this just sounds like a nice fat career advancement for him. PP must trust this guy. We'll see.

I hope you'll feel the same when PP announces they've hired the night manager at In-N-Out Burger to be AMC's new HW. wink.png

First Big Story: Erica Kane goes into the fast-food industry.

I've barely read any X-comic from past 1989 or so but the Claremont years were very dense, complex, long stories, a great sense of history, large group of characters, and strong women. Everything soaps used t obe.

Now all I read from that shell of a company is Ms. Marvel (sorry, not calling her Captain Marvel). The X-Men are the reason I became a fan of hers so I guess the tradition goes on.

While talking with McDermott he did confirm that the shows are at least going to be filming on the East Coast, so I'm pleased :).

@TheMightyFoz welcome to the world of daytime soaps. Pleased to have you :)

@ErrolLewis thank you sir... its been an interesting journey this far... bound to get more interesting!

@TheMightyFoz well I for 1 can't wait! Pleased as punch soaps will film once again on the east coast, where the medium began, most of all :)

@ErrolLewis as are all of us. I am especially psyched about the east coast return for many reasons!
