His first partner was an "experienced soap actress who'd recently come to AMC from another soap." According to J.R. she was less than thrilled to be paired with him, but he respected her work. He tried his best, and asked for feedback. This story is about their first kissing scene. He was nervous, and giggly like a 5 year old, he continued giggling and then he did a big laugh. The she said "What the hell are you giggling about?" and hissed at him. He tried to stifle laughing, and put his energy into the kiss. He kissed her and well she pulled back and yelled "Oh my God, the rookie used his tongue!" He was embarrassed as he had no idea that you don't use tongue as no one told him. According to him fortunately he "never had to be in the position to do a love scene with her again." And she was gone before the end of the year.

I wonder if TV4Me has a response to this? LMAO!

I remember watching Taylor on AMC the first time and I wasn't that bothered by her but now that I know how Beth treated J.R, I've been nothing short of annoyed with the bitch since Im reliving her stint again. I think they should've stuck with Taylor/Jake/Amanda and brought Brot in as a fellow friend of Taylor & Frankie from the war.

I've heard of a couple GL stars who turned into monsters when they joined other shows.

It seems to me like the GL culture under every EP from Rauch on seemed to be enabling the cast's bad behavior instead of nipping it in the bud. As a result, when they went to other shows they behaved as if they ran the show.

Most likely because at GL, someone would have taken J.R. under their wing and something like that never would have happened. Also on that set perhaps there was positive peer pressure.

I never knew BEh was such a c u next tuesday till the stuff on AMC

I didn't really surprise me especially knowing about her cheating in the early 90's and I had heard other things about her.

Exactly the case.

I thought Morgan too.

Had to be MEK calling him babe.

Loved Martinez on the show. Sure he wasn't gonna win any awards, and the writers never gave him any story to work with, but he had such an easygoing likable presence. Glad he was there till the end.

(how does one "spray paint"abs?)

You must never have watched Toddlers and Tiaras. I've seen how they spray on abs.

I don't understand the bit about the co-star giving him her number. Are there some "her"s where there should be "he"s? Otherwise I'm lost

The last part is interesting. Who didn't the show take with on purpose? I thought most of the veteran cast that didn't go with chose not to relocate.

Thanks for this!

I know Thorsten Kaye confirmed they let him go like 6 months early, it was basically relocate or you're gone. I always felt that DC only retired cause he didn't want to relocate

David Canary & Ray MacDonnell were the only veterans that I can think of that didn't make the move to LA. Even James Mitchell had made the move to LA a good 6 months earlier.

I'm assuming the co-star gave him the number to call her for acting tips. My first thought: Debbi Morgan.

If it was acting tips: Debbi Morgan

If it was for illicit purposes. You know that XXX stuff. Probably Boobie (I mean Bobbie) Eakes. (I'm totally joking)

I think it was Debbi; that's who first came to mind, anyway. I think the whole "number" thing was for acting tips, not for some sexual action. hehe

Ehlers sounds like the biggest bitch. ugh

That would make for a hilarious show if it was Debbi though.

Think of the title...

Sexual Action With Debbi Morgan.

It just seems hilarious.

She could be the new Sue Johansen. And, it would make my stepdad very happy. He calls her Chocolate Thunder. Best nickname ever...IMO.

Debbi Morgan. Maybe that was her way of giving him acting advice.

This is exactly what I was thinking.
