Y&R Actor out!

  • Members

We basically already new this but now SOD confirms it.

We’re are hearing Y&R’s Michael Graziadei (Daniel) is set to exit Genoa City before the end of the year. The actor, who was always planning to leave at the end of his current deal in December, hasn’t been in upcoming scripts, so his appearances will be few and far between.

Oh my God, what is this, the 38th time in the past 2 years we've had this thread posted on here, does anybody even care anymore?

It bothers me as well when every year these actors have to think if they do or don't want to renew their contract. Time to leave.

The only time I found him interesting was with Amber, until they turned him into a greasy, unshowered, unkempt, wannabe artist. Blah.

ITA.

I wonder if it is Graziadei's preference to look this bad (I presume it is).

I think he just rolls out of bed and shows up. He calls it "being me," they call it edgy and "please God don't quit." Because he's hot [!@#$%^&*] now because he does a bunch of CW shows but can't book a regular primetime gig.

It's [!@#$%^&*] stupid. Typical soap [!@#$%^&*]-scared management.

LOL. I feel like we've been hearing about him leaving forever now. I'm ready for him to go. What a useless character Daniel turned out to be. Which is a shame because I do like the actor and I liked the character. What a waste.

http://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/departing-yr-star-thank-you

Michael Graziadei, who will last air as Y&R's Daniel on January 2, is grateful for the fan support he's received since his 2004 debut. "I would really love to thank everyone, honestly and truly, from the bottom of my heart, for being there for me, and watching the show and supporting me and following me for all these years," he enthuses. "Their love for the character and their love for the show was what provided me with a job for the past eight-and-a-half years, and I can easily and honestly say I’ve never met a fan that I didn’t like. Everybody has been so wonderful to me." For more from Graziadei, check out an upcoming issue of Digest.

Thank you, Michael, the pleasure was all ours.

Now, go take a bath and put on some decent clothes.

He has a lot of luck with primetime gigs so I hope to see him pop up more now and hopefully land a lead role on a show.

I think that he will get a major prime time gig as well. Too bad he, like Bill Miller, wasted a lot of his prime years on Y&R.

I'm sure with any pretaping he did actually leave a while ago, but the last time we will see the character on air is Jan. 2nd. Perhaps Daniel goes off to get to know his father Danny.

Nice article. I always liked MG - especially the way he worked with MS. Glad he's taking the high road in the press - whether he means it or not - as opposed to be a snot. LOL. Good guy and I hope he ends up with a good gig. I could see AHS picking him up for S3 since they keep a few actors and cast them in different roles.
