As stupid as it was to kill off John, let's just let him be and stop bringing back ghost John.

I agree, I don't have a whole lot of sympathies for the Newman's either and also rooting for Jack even though his win probably won't last long.

I don't feel an ounce of sympathy for Victor, Nikki, Nick, and Victoria.

Victor especially, there is nothing sympathetic about him anymore. Jack is being an ass and will likely fall, but I find myself rooting for him in this mess, when the writing tells us I shouldn't.

I am rooting for Sharon too to burn that f.ucking ranch down.

The Newman's are so smug and nasty, and we're supposed to see them as the wronged party in all this? Please.

This is pretty much how I feel in a nutshell. I can't stomach Auntie Jack (seriously, I wish so much that Terry Lester was alive!) but even I am rooting for the purple-faced swoop. As for Sharon, OMG, I have been Team Sharon ever since Victor trifled with her at Nikki's wedding to Jack. When SnoreToria sent her ass back to Shadybrook even AFTER knowing this was the place where Faith was stolen from her, that sealed it for me. Sharon, keep calling it like it is and BURN that nasty, dank little ranch down!

I'm loving the whole show right now. Some stories should be ended, but I am giving this show a chance.

The stories and overall writing is still questionable as hell. What I think has improved is the execution (for the most part). I've noticed that episodes and even scenes are ending with actual cliffhangers again and you actually see more things happening, rather than characters telling you after the fact.

IA. Now I know they are wrapping up MAB's SLs and it has only been a week... but until TPTB start allowing us, the audience, to make up our own minds about a character instead of trying to "train" us into liking them based on whichever actor is threatening them at a particular given time, then I am going to reserve judgment on the new regime.

Overall, I see improvements and find it more watchable than before but there's still a ton that needs fixed and I there some things I've seen I haven't liked or agreed with.

I hope that of some of these newly introduced characters, at least 1 or 2 will be totally unrelated to anyone in the current cast. Y&R has gotten a bit incestous in the past several years, with every new character having some secret connection to someone already in GC. After awhile, there is no where for these characters to 'go' storywise-- nowhere that's interesting anyway.

ITA my mother who only watches about 1 or 2 epis a month was asking why there are no new unrelated men. She's like after all these years they are still going back and forth between the same people!

The Newmans are all so nasty. Glad to see them falling for once. Jack and Nikki split and he finally grew a pair.

I agree with this. I'm tired of soaps telling me what characters I should be rooting for. Most of the time it's not who the writers want.

Lawd, I hate Ghost John. "Jack, don't be so mean to the poor Newmans." Everytime Aunt Jack's about to finally stick it to the man who has humiliated him time and again, Ghosty has to come down from the great Golf Course in the sky to tell him to give up Jabot or something equally ridiculous. What a crock. I don't know what John Abbott hologram Mustache has rigged up, but in life, John was heartbroken when Victor screwed him out of the company he built for his family and himself. One day I would like Ghost John tro show up and say "You go, Jack! Stick it up Victor's ass! And if you really want to piss him off, go, get FauxToria drunk and marry her in Vegas."

I love Sharon this week. That is all.

The worst of Ghost John's visit was the dreamboat earlier this year. I mean WTF! I don't remember him being so annoying when he was alive. Can't he go berate Billy?

Nah when it's Billy, John gets berated.

So basically today was a big UGH,

UGH Billy spying for Victoria!

UGH John's ghost, go back into the light and stay there!

UGH Adam goes to Sharon!

UGH Victor is a victim, Jack is evil!

UGH No one sees Sharon at the Newman ranch!
