It was fresh off Watros's Emmy win and the promo was something like, "She just won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress, so what's she doing in Bay City?" Watros did it as a favour for Jimmy Bohr, who cast her on GL (he was Betty Rea's casting assistant) and had become the Casting Director on AW. Members DRW50 Posted October 3, 2012 Members Share Posted October 3, 2012 While she was never a big favorite of mine on ATWT (I actually disliked her at the time), I enjoyed Hayley Sparks (nee Barr) on GL when she temped for Beth Ehlers in the late 90s. Ehlers was becoming hard and cold by this time and Sparks, while a little soccer mom-ish, reminded me of some of the happier moments of the character.
