GH Actress return?

Her funeral not being real doesn't mean having a bare bones service with no extras and Maxie shrieking at random is a good idea. The characters didn't know she was alive. If we say, "Who cares, she's not really dead?" then this would mean there's little reason to care when almost anyone dies on a soap, if the actor can return. They didn't seem to care at all, as they skipped over most of the story and even had Anna dump her granddaughter.

Don't even get me started on the character destruction done to Anna. Her daughter dies and instead of trying to do right with her granddaughter she's off gargling Luke's nuts because "My granddaughter is too busy with ballet for me". Emma better grow up to be a prima ballerina then she's so busy practicing she has no time for grandma!

LOL that made no sense at all, please stop while you're not ahead, you're sounding ridiculous

Robins funeral wasn't real, RC/FV had just taken over not long before Kim's last airdate

That's a fact. Asa's funeral was real, Edward's will be real.

There's a major difference between those two and Robin's

Robin's death was real to Patrick, Anna and everyone else. Matter's not that the character really isn't dead. Don't do a funeral if you are not going to do a funeral. There was no excuse for that empty ass church. Piph and Monica not there? Ridiculous!

Yeah, but even at that, Phil Carey didn't really pass away and made several guest appearances after Asa died. John Ingle's really gone. Edward's not coming back as a ghost, in a heaven storyline, or in a video will.

What's even worse was Piph was onscreen that day but over at the hospital with the Jasam and Carly crap.

I'm really not trying to make excuses but I think they didnt put much into Robin's death bc it wasnt real.

Robin's funeral, as penned by Garin Wolf, included almost every character, and featured the returns of Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie) and, health permitting, Rachel Ames (Audrey). The only notable absence was Edward, as John Ingle was scheduled for surgery at the time. When Ron took over and made the decision to keep Robin alive, the whole funeral was rewritten.

If that's true, it was a mistake. My offliner friend was LIVID at Robin's funeral and having her come back to life didn't change her resentment.

But didn't they love the scenes where a giddy Robert skipped town the night before his daughter was buried?

I'm sure she mentioned it in the 20 minute rant she made over the phone (on company time) but I lost track of it.

Are you kidding me? Ugh! What crappy timing for Carlivati to take over. I would've loved for there to have been a real funeral and to see Bobbie and Audrey just one more time.

Is Rachel Ames ill as well?

She has her good days & bad days.

That's sad to hear. Thanks for sharing that though. It seems almost all of the old GH vets are ill lately.

I'm actually a big GW supporter, but I'll take RC's horrifying, afterthought treatment of Robin's "death"/funeral over the medical and social implications of GW's planned demise for Robin. While I don't think Robin's HIV status was sufficiently acknowledged on the serial, she represented what a "normal" (whatever the hell that means) and full life an HIV+ positive person can live. Crazy Lisa switching out her meds or not, Robin developing full blown AIDS and dying instantly is sending out such a horrible and UNLIKELY message. Thank God that didn't proceed.
