Just ugh to this. So Rick is manipulating this not only for Hope but for his own selfish reasons and unlike what Bill did to manipulate the situation, I'll bet Ricks actions come back. I actually don't mind that they are throwing Rick and company into this but they are going about it the absolutely wrong way.

I want them to bring on someone new for either Hope or Steffy and let Liam and whoever they put him with be a couple for a while. Frankly if Katie weren't pregnant they should have done a quad with Bill, Katie, Liam, Steffy and thrown Rick and Hope into a quad with a recast Thomas and Caroline. Or bring Deacon back and throw Hopr into a story with he and Brooke.

Im fine with it. Its throwing something new at a story that has run way too long. If they are going to continue with the Hope/Liam/Steffy angle (and they are intent on that) then I think its for the best that they incorporate others into it and utilizing a dropped plot from a few months ago is the way to go. Its too bad Amber isnt in it though bc she has history with Liam and Hope and she's comedy.

bc he loves Steffy and is too much of a wimp to make a choice between both women. He'd rather have his cake and eat it too. There was a time when there shouldnt have been an issue between him being with Hope and remaining friends with Steffy but he's made it impossible for that to be the case

After Italy he should have separated himself from her because it was obvious it was causing problems for their relationship. As it stands now he is a fool for continuing to hang out with Steffy while at the same time trying to make things better with Hope. He should realize this. I don't even care anymore. Liam can go with Steffy, and then she can know what it feels like to be with a man that doesn't love only her for awhile and see how she likes it. Maybe if she wasn't confined to the mistress/other woman role so frequently she could realize what is happening and get the notion into her head that Liam's behavior is not in anyway acceptable.

Othello is an awful actor and his scene on the phone was so stilted from being pre-recorded. That said, kind of a neat idea when you think about it. "Othello, you don't have to come to work today. Here are your sides, just record your scenes on your phone and send them to us here in the office." Not that they did that, but, imagine being a recurring character who only appears on a cell phone or Skype. Cushy job!

Well, I managed to miss all of Liam and the crazy hair. How long did that last, a week?

    • Holly's final big story was the Sebastian mess in late 2004.   Vanessa and Matt were promoted to regulars near the end and were heavily recurring prior to that starting around 2007/2008.
    • Keith has a softer presence, but it would have helped to see him be more aggressive or proactive in protecting them instead of standing around like a mannequin.
    • She needs to learn to be honest with her husband about her lusty interests because being sex positive only works if you're not cheating on your spouse.

    • Very disappointed in the writers in the way they are screwing with Nicole, Ted,  and Kat to make Leslie remain viable. So many holes everywhere.
    • Somebody brought this up elsewhere which emphasizes why this NuTed appears as such a weakling. Why is Kat doing what HE should be doing? And that's everything he can to rid him and his family of this crazy woman. Kat is doing all kinds of things she shouldn't do but now I understand her more. She can't count on her father to eliminate this woman because he's a wimp. He's been too busy inviting her into his home and serving her drinks and offering her invitations to birthday parties. WIMP!!!!

    • This is (maybe) overly simplistic and nonsoapy, but Doug needs to go to Gamblers Anonymous, to deal with the addictive neurological excitement hits that gambling gives him - and which control his life. Vanessa needs to go to therapy to find ways to remain healthfully lusty and sex-positive, but to stay away from anyone who would demean her.
    • YT keeps commending GL clips to me. I discovered Kathleen Cullen was on in Christmas 1987. Was there any talk of making it permanent  or was this just a special visit? I wish they had made the visit permanent. I liked her chemistry with Grant Aleksander.
    • I'm not sure it's as unpopular as you think.  I just think the show knew they were in a bind, and needed a proven couple for the viewers to invest in. Trying to reunite Vanessa and Ross had just failed in 87. I don't think Ed and Holly's affair was well received, as Simon and Garrett had a brother/sister chemistry. Enter Billy and Vanessa, who give you history and an out not to try and do a Josh/Reva/Billy triangle, which would've really wrecked the relationship between Josh and Billy. I'd have been ok with trying Vanessa/Ross again, and doing a Vanessa/Ross/Holly/Billy quad for a while. I hated Nadine. HATED. She had to be the most insufferable also-ran before ATWT's Julia Lindsay. This is where I wish I knew Roger's history better.
