Can I get an AMEN! I have stated countless times that this character has been a nobody for 8 years, but I get so much resistance. Sam leaving GH would hurt NOTHING! Totally worthless. An attempt to replace Brenda, another worthless bitch, but even I have to admit that Brenda had value early on. Sam? NEVER!

I'd like to add Arizona from Loving. I'm still traumatized by that ugly heifer! There was no reason for that homely chick. It's like they added her so that we could consistently feel sorry for her, which is why they picked such a pitifully handsome chick. If anyone remembers her, please tell me her value.

I always thought BE did amazing work as Krystal and by JHB & BE, I warmed up to her. But I wanted to burn the b at the stake because she literally replaced Liza--straight stole her romance with Tad and was at odds with Adam. Then one of the last things Liza did before MW bounced was be blackmailed by Adam and JR to be shady to the Carey hos (who she hated) and she was so wah wah wah morally compromised and then when she returned, it was to help Babe & Jamie kidnap Ace Buchanan (and this time freakin' Babe wasn't compared to Dixie, but Liza). OMG I just couldn't LOL.

I wound up loving Krystal and Babe later, but even though head writers almost always have new pet favorites, McTavish/Babe & Krystal was a shockingly scary example of a hw with an agenda and so much more of a mission.

Even though I didn't mind how she was created (and her first few months of story), I've gotta pick Courtney Matthews, who was the most horrible character ever--sanctimonious, hypocritical, entitled, delusional, fickle, etc., and, worst of all, BLAND as hell. However, as far as creation conception, there've been far worse characters, such as someone in a Courtney story, that doctor, I think her name was Rachel? The lady who had that "Strangers on a Train" (but plane here) story when AJ "died." That was a trainwreck (but she turned out to be OK I thought, esp. when it seemed she and Steve would get together). Then there are characters I hate and who I think suck (like Sonny, Jason, and Carly), but for various creative and functional reasons, I can't say I think they're the "worst created character in daytime history."

OMG I take my Courtney choice back, I think I actually have to go with Zach freakin' Slater. The worst in every way and he became and stayed a lead. UGH.

Arizona Beecham was the wife of Linc Beecham, a romantic interest for Susan Walter's Lorna Forbes. Zona was her nickname. Zona was introduced by Agnes Nixon as an interloper in the Linc / Lorna story. His mother, played by Jane Powell, arrived in town when Linc and Lorna were getting close and was threatening to reveal Linc's secret, he had a wife, Zona. Zona eventually came to town, faked a pregnancy, went off the deep end, and ended her own life. Lorna went on trial for her murder.

I thought she was shot as I thought the gun was key to the trial, but I may be wrong. She wrote about her plans to end her life in her diary, which Linc's mother hid because she didn't like Lorna. It was all fairly pointless as Lorna / Linc split during the trial, Lorna was paired with her lawyer, Zack, and Linc was written out.

Kathleen McCall played Zona.

Christ. Carmen Mesta! I hate hate hated her and that mess they pulled with sticking her and Neil together and having Dru go nuts with no one being able to see how transparent Carmen was. However, I will say that the scene where Dru and Carmen threw down in the break room was CLASSIC and I still watch that every few months. I just remember watching that in college, calling my other friends who watched Y&R and telling them they needed to be at my apartment immediately. And we all watched it and couldn't stop laughing.

"I googled Thomas Edward Kramer!"

That's positive and something to look forward to for sure, because you're right, 1996 so far isn't nearly as good as 1995. Ohh - what is Lonatrat?  Sadly you're probably right. I did feel like David was rarely seen once Marcus came on. That would have been an interesting spin, having Frank and Tina be teenage lovers and Dahlia really being his daughter. I'm getting the sense that Tina won't be seen too much anymore, as she just left Dahlia with Frank/Eleni as she's heading to jail for a while. I like the Tina actress too!  Her voice sounds a bit like Rosie Perez to me, which I love. I tried to find her online, but coming up empty. This was the only thing I could find about Tina Crede - a character snapshot video with clips and stills of her (randomly starting just before the 1:00 mark):

That's wild that the David actor is nearly 40 here! Definitely surprises me.
    • 5-6   Meh. It already looks like a scattershot week.    5-5 was actually a good episode. Damian and Lily. Phyllis finally going on the warpath that I knew she could get on with Billy and Sally. Nate started to question Audra and Victor's alliance. And I was not even bugged by Kyle and Claire.   But then there's Cole's off-screen story. Kyle and Claire going back to being whiny. And them even wanting Adam's penthouse just sounded like trying to keep the set around. And Diane shouldn't even give a flying frak about Billy's opinion. And Tessa, Daniel, and the guitars...yeeeah no.   But hey...JM looked good in that short. And those pants.  I agree. One of Y&R's good points with fans has always been that you do at least see the vets. And IN stories.
    • One of the things that I found unnecessary and a bit disturbing about Ambitions was that in almost every episode someone was holding or shooting a gun.  Jamey and Ron seem to have the same fetish.
    • I had thought that there was a Tommy Biddles on there, but then I realized I was thinking of Dr. Biddles on Santa Barbara. Never mind!

    • I have watched the scene where Vanessa reads the letter and it's lovely, but I'm really glad now that I never got around to watching the funeral. Henry ADORED Nola! He treated her like a daughter and Stacy like a granddaughter. That's why Vanessa couldn't stand her. He was crazy about all the Reardons. He spent a lot of time at the boarding house. He and Bea--they never explicitly said it was romantic, but they certainly were loving friends. This sounds worse than Bert's funeral. I really did not think that was possible.
    • It always bothered me from the start that Nicole just took Mona's suggestion and never checked references.  A real psychiatrist would have done more before hiring someone. ** I like that Kat's reporter/investigative type instincts caused her to be suspicious of Eva from the start, and to try to spy on Eva and catch her as weeks went by. However, I think that Kat's so focused on what Eva did wrong -- that she won't see that Leslie is the master manipulator, making some things appear different than they actually are. I hope that Shanice's natural snoopy nature will get her to figure out what actually happened to Laura, and who really caused all the problems. *** edit to add: The show never specified what Mona's job was for Nicole.  Home manager?  Office manager?  Head personal assistant?  I'm sure there would have been a title?    Mona asserted today her upset with Eva and with Leslie.  That they used her and ruined her reputation.  I just wish I knew what Mona's job was. If Mona was an official manager, then it would have made sense for Nicole to trust the recommendation, if Nicole thought Mona had done a proper hiring procedure.  But if Mona is just an informal helper, then why wouldn't Nicole order a background check?
    • And I'm here for it.   Also...YES, PLEASE.
    • Also, someone knocked over the head (usually in the D Mansion) and imprisoned in the secret tunnel room or whatever it was. I swear that must have happened at least a dozen times the last few years, and each time it drove me crazy!
