I'd give the edge to MAB just because I think she has more of a tendency to need to "prove" things to viewers (like the constant attempts to make Daisy popular). Id keep Abby, possibly recast and then bering back Chelsea, Jeremy and Stephanie. Those 4 along with Nick could be a good foundation to build a younger set around Oh and as far as retcons that need to be fixed, they need to make Chad not a Dimera. What a complete and utter waste which they never did anything with.
