Does anyone remember a daytime ad campaign that CBS daytime ran some where between 1989 and 1990 called "On the edge"? I know it was during this time period because this was during the time when heather retray was playing Lily on ATWT and I can remember her vividly in one of the ads. I've searched all over youtube for promos from this ad campaign. Sadly I have not been able to find any. I loved the ad campaign. They would play this nice soft music during it and at the end it would say "On The Edge." If anyone could find one of these promos I would be ever so grateful.

You may want to check through some of the Y&R episodes passnum1 has put up. They include promos for all the CBS soaps.

Gosh... I want to see this one specific Y&R "Try Me" promo from mid-1992, re-uploaded.

It was during the end of the first Sheila story and featured Sheila,Lauren,Dru and Shirtless Brad, and Clarance said something like this:

"Love is your obsession, you're setting your game, you're on to her madness can your prove she's to blame?... Imagine the frustration imagine it's you? (i think that's what he said, haha) If your life has no Passion, what would you do?"

I guess i will have to see if I get more episodes with that promo, or somebody else uploads/re-uploads it.

I uploaded some Y&R episodes from 1990-1991 that have that campaign.

I would love to see the Y&R "on the edge" promo, I uploaded an episode with some B&B ones and i can't believe how beautiful they are, I can only imagine what the Y&R ones were like?

If you wanna get Young and Sassy, Bold and Brassy, there's one place to get it on.

If you wanna get your whole world turnin, make your light burn, there's one place to get it on.

Go head girl get it on, don't be afraid girl get it on.

Get it on, get it on....

GET IT ON.

lol... so yeah, my favorite of all time was CBS' "Get It On" campaign, though I agree with CSF that the Lucy Johnson era promos were pretty much all great. I don't love Lucy Johnson but promos were one thing she did very well. They were so campy, dramatic, soapy, and over-the-top, and VERY sexy. To me when daytime became a sexless genre, we had a serious problem.

There was/is a great example on youtube of a promo for the last good Sheila storyline where she says "It's sooo good to be bad" and I'm irritated that I can't find it at the moment... grr... BUT here are three great ones promoting Joan Collins as Alexandra on GL:

LOVE. I loved those glamour shots they used for CBS Daytime back around the mid-90's to about 2002, with the lounge sofa, curtains and whatnot.

Here are the ludicrous promos for B&B's debut, complete with laugholympic "soap" acting from John McCook, and poor Lauren Koslow seeming like they told her to get it in the can in two seconds because they were shutting down for the day. There is also lewd winking and twitching for no apparent reason, and Bill wielding a cane I never remember seeing on the show.

These are nothing short of AMAZING, LOL :)

These are all just a trip smile.png Love, love, love... Anything before 2000 is classic.

Although I applaud NBC for including DAYS in on those annoying pop-ups they do during primetime shows. They did it for DAYS in the spring of 2004 when they were promoting Marlena being the serial killer, with her looking all suspicious with a knife and the words "Is Marlena Repossessed?" or something to that degree.

"It Will Excite You!" omg, that's my new favorite thing to watch. Deidre circa '86, Peter Reckell and Mr. Sheffield singing "It Will Excite You" in unison... the quick turns to the camera... LOL this is just so fantastically 80's :)
