Tomorrow's episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL combines good old soapy drama with a good dose of superheroes! In a tie-in to the upcoming release of The Avengers -- the film based on the Marvel Comics crimefighting team being distributed by Walt Disney Pictures -- Spinelli heads to the local Port Charles movie theater to catch a screening of the film. While there, he bumps into Matt, who's taken Cameron to see the Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man and Thor in action as well. As Spinelli contemplates his theory as to who killed Dr. Lisa Niles, expect some funny twists and turns, Jackal-style!

Tune in to GH tomorrow, Wednesday, April 25. The Avengers opens on Friday, May 4.

Korvac is one of my favorite stories from the Avengers (I can't read anything Avengers now, thanks to the hack writing the comic). Various Avengers started vanishing into thin air, and the last few who were left learned that a space being was taking them all to protect them from Korvac. Korvac then vaporized this man. Korvac was some type of computer who found godlike sentience and was all powerful. The entire Avengers team fought him and they were all slaughtered - he was only defeated when, as his back was turned, his equally cosmic wife killed him to save the cosmos. When he died he resurrected all the Avengers.

(This story also had the iconic image of the Avengers, who were facing huge government cuts at this time, going to a battle by taking the local bus).

If the Avengers can get over her using the corpse of a former team member to blow up their mansion and kill team members, then the X-Men can get over their latest bout of "do we have powers/we don't have powers."

I'd even settle for Mantis at this point.

Get on the bus!

I guess the closest daytime came was Lucinda, Kim, Susan, Lisa, Nancy for an ATWT anniversary.
