Characters who had no legs in Daytime

Did anyone mention AMC's Aidan? I loved him early on but really after they dropped him from Kendall's sphwere in 2004, they probably should have canned him. I have no idea how he lasted until 2009, 5 years later as he just lingered on the canvas with no strong ties to anyone going from failed pairing to the next

Roman Brady as played by Josh Taylor. I might feel a bit differently if Josh Taylor hadn't already played a very popular character on the same show, but anyway I have yet to figure out any real purpose left for Roman. Every time he comes on screen, I'm just reminded of Shenanigans. The Body Connection and Savannah Wilder.

Daniel Jonas on Days. I think he's Day's answer to OLTL's Ford, but it's quite clear that they don't really have anything for him to do except look hot.

I was coming here to post about Roman. The character should have left with Northrop in 1994. The writing had been pretty uneven for his return, but the character left the right way and as a strong personality. I didn't like the execution of the idea of Roman being at death's door (and John having to find the elixir/jungle potion to save him) and I certainly have never liked Josh Taylor in the role. Some of it's writing and some of it's Taylor's physical presence.

I thought Julie really came alive again when Pete showed up and when she took the money she found in the woods. It was a return to an edgier and yet fun Julie. I just think she was dragged down when she had too much story with GW's dull Caleb.

Aside from Jack on DAYS and Sharon on Y&R I'm not sure if any character recast so quickly so many times has had a purpose.

It's also pretty incredible how little story Noah has had - I still have no idea why he was aged.

I'll take it a step further and say that her ass should've been sent packing (via Luke, who was worth a lot more as a character back then) as soon as her affair with Tony was revealed. The decision to keep her on is, quite honestly, what killed the show.

Actually, I wouldn't minded him staying if they kept on acknowledging him as a sleazy louse. What made me hate him was OLTL's insistence that he was good/kind/decent underneath even though he kept on doing shitty things (i.e.: raping Messica).

I actually didn't mind James (as his only crime was being boring as hell). However, I share your disdain when it comes to those other two jackasses.
