Soap Opera Digest has learned that the cast cuts have begun at DAYS: Matthew Ashford (Jack), Sarah Brown (Madison), Christie Clark (Carrie) and Patrick Muldoon (Austin) have all reportedly been told their characters are leaving Salem. Ashford, Clark and Muldoon returned as part of the big reboot in September, 2011; Brown appeared in October. Insiders report that this will not be the end of the trimming. There has been no official comment from the show as of yet.

Those people (Clark and Ashford) are always the first to go, in every regime. LOL!

I'm waiting for Hall and Hosestyn to be fired again now...

Sad about Ashford only, really. His character was the only one really popping for me this time around with his PTSD story. What a waste.

Are you freaking KIDDING ME? Christie is gone AGAIN? This just may be the last straw...

The only one I'm sad about is Matthew Ashford! Omg sad.png And I feel soo sad for Sarah Brown too. They isolated her from the cast way too much.

I'm sorry but BYE Christie & Patrick! LOL

I think it's time to end my relationship with DAYS. Once Renee's gone, that's it.

I'm not sad to see Patrick Muldoon or Sarah Brown leaving. I have a huge problem when Galen Gering, Alison Sweeney, James Scott, Shawn Christian, Molly Burnett & Camila Banus have jobs, yet Christie & Matthew always get the shaft.

Perhaps I'm being too much of a conspiracy theorist in asking, but how come Sarah Brown has had the worst luck in soaps post her stint as Slagbeast? This is, what, the third time that I'm hearing of her departure from a show after a short period of time.

I think I might be done now. I am sick of all the huge exits every single year. I am going to miss Carrie and Jack the most though.

theres nothing to say that these are the only exits. The others may be coming in the coming weeks

I think she's just one of those actresses who found the perfect character/writing early in her career. Nothing against her talent but I saw her in all 4 of her post Carly roles and she just did not come across well in any of them.

Except DAYS always fires the wrong people. They've had countless opportunities to fire them and have yet to do so. Daniel & Melanie have remained upopular by most, yet they continue to have a job. I can somewhat understand Galen, Alison & James staying since they do have huge fanbases.
