Zoe was never intended to be a Cassadine she was always intended to be tied to Maya and the Q's as a distant tied in to Justus and the Wards. I think she and Maya were supposed to have the same mother. .Guza even talked about them in relation to revitalizing the Q family. There was some woman who was cast for a short time a couple of years ago who was supposedly tied to Valentin and was holding Helena but she was never intended to be Niks child she was specced as a love interest for Ethan and as Valentins child.. She wasn't even African American if I recall.

Hmm... Cassadine to Ward? That's a weird trajectory. Now I'm really interested to know how she'd have been written if she were a Cassadine (the first Black biracial one at that) and whether her presence would've eventually brought Gia (who I liked a lot when MR played her) back to town, thus giving Nik something else to do than chasing after insipid Liz or playing Pretty Woman to SnookLynn. Then again, considering the hard-on this show had for Kristina, I worry that poor Zoe would've been another character thrown under the bus for her.

Speaking of Valentin, last I heard, the actor was getting his makeup done when they told him that they no longer needed the character - was there a story behind that?

No there was a casting call for Zoe Cassadine back in 2009. If I had saved the casting call, I'd show it to you. But it was Zoe Cassadine, who was Kristina's age and a potential love interest for Michael.

And no she and Maya never were to have the same mother. As Maya's sister her last name wasn't even Ward. it was Richardson. and she was Maya's half sister via their dead father. Maya's mother is still alive

Zoe as Gia and Nik's daughter would have been a mess. I think the characters are too young to be having teen kids. Its why Im glad they havent SORASED Elizabeth's kids (when they did Sonny's) bc that would unnecesarily age her. I cant see that age group having teen kids already

I found another one that I agree with

I think Michelle Stafford, Kassie de Paiva, and Nancy Grahn form the trifecta of the most overrated actresses in present day soaps. MS and NLG in particular have glaring ticks (like inappropriate smiling) that become worse depending on who their scene partners are. All of them can be good at times, but they've also been very bad.

I actually enjoy Scott Reeves as Steven Lars Webber. Appearance wise, I love his nature rugged-ness that was obviously built up from Reeves' time away on the Tennessee farm. Reeves is also still a very good actor, making the bad recent writing very watchable. I found myself falling in love with Steven as Olivia did on the bus ride to the mountain. I can only hope we get some more family time with Elizabeth and the incoming Heather.

Felicity

As much as I loved this show, man, did Felicity get on my last damn nerve. Such a passive twit she was that I was thrilled every time Meghan clowned her. Needless to say, I tuned in every week to see Noel, Javier, Elena, Meghan, Sean, and Julie.

I never got the appeal of Felicity and Ben, neither did I think that they were truly meant for one another. Ben was a boring asshat that I never understood the hoopla about.

I loved Noel. Yes, he was your typical 'nice guy', but dammit, he kept on getting shat on so much that I wanted the poor guy to end up happy. And yes, I thought that he was too good for that passive twit, Felicity.

I didn't hate Elena for cheating on Tracy with the skeevy professor. While I don't condone cheating and still wonder what the hell she was thinking hooking up with her professor, I thought it was fairly realistic that she'd eventually crack under the pressure of being the sexually experienced one in that relationship.

Dawson's Creek

I didn't hate Dawson or Joey. Yes, Dawson could be oversensitive, but I thought that was true to his character and I wouldn't want him any other way. Yes, he could be unreasonable, but I couldn't bring myself to hate him. Ditto on not being able to hate Joey, even though her indecisiveness drove me up the wall. What can I say? Her unpopular girl character struck a chord in me.

While I liked Pacey and Joey as a game-changer, I didn't like them as One True Soulmates. Not necessarily because I had undying loyalty to Dawson and Joey (though I enjoyed them, too), but because I didn't think that those two had enough in common or enough to build on to have an enduring relationship beyond their initial puppy love. Another factor was...

...that I vastly preferred Pacey and Andie, as they were my favorite couple on that show. I found that they balanced one another out far better than Pacey's previous or subsequent pairings. Yes, Andie was ill, but I still held hope until the bitter end that those kids would be able to work it out and end up together forever.

I also loved Andie as a character. Sure, she was an anal-retentive drama queen (which, truthfully, was due to her illness), but Meredith Monroe made her someone that I could sympathize and eventually care for in spite of that.

Gossip Girl

I liked Vanessa Abrams. She was the only one who refused to kiss Upper East Side ass, so naturally they had to write her so far out of whack in the subsequent seasons that a viewer had no choice but to want her gone. I'm still mad at the way they ruined her and her friendship with Dan as an excuse for him to completely assimilate into the UES gang.

Most of that early 90s teen scene were glorified hair models. Robin was an exception.

I thought the later 90s teens were pretty realistic, except for Nikolas who always looked like he was 30. It probably helped that we had watched Lucky and Emily grow up so we always knew how old they were.
