Thanks Toups! No change...GH numbers are still dreadful. If it lasts any longer its cause of The Revolution's awful numbers. I see Days didn't pick up with the Sami reveal and Sami catching Rafe kissing Carrie.....

Despite all the chastizing of GH's lead in , their 18-49 demo which is all that matters in terms of ad dollars is in the same range its been in even prior to its alleged great OLTL lead in. GH has been in the .9 to 1.0 range for months now. I'm not saying its good but OLTL's lead in being gone also is not a factor. All it proves is that overall GH still percentagewise still has the youngest skewing audience.

Good to see B&B hold steady.

Days demos are dreadful. Even Higley was better and the show with decent stories on paper still seems to lack a feeling of good pace and the buildup to and reveals disappointing.

No the topic of this thread is ratings with that heading and I stand by what I said which is that GH's demos have not suffered greatly from the poor lead in. I am not even defending The Revolution, its a wretched show, but it's also not the show with the 50 year fanbase. But I doubt we'll ever agree on that so we can just agree to disagree.

The show is still doing very well. Of course you're going to get a drop after hitting some highs. You can't expect the show to consistently get 3.6 million a week. You just hope they don't have a free fall. You have to keep up the Hope/Liam/Steffy/Bill/Katie story going and hope that at the next big revelation/event, the show can get near the numbers again. It's a slow build.

I thought it was time to panic years ago with DAYS. IMO Days is just unfixable anymore. No one is watching, and their demos are about to go BELOW 500,000. Not good. Not good at all. DAYS is a gone come 2013. There is just no way it will stay on air after. Period.

I gotta say even with a HORRIBLE lead in GH has been steady 600,000 in the demos is what it has been getting even with OLTL as a lead in. But that Total Viewer....Not good....Not good. Goes to show you GH skews younger.

    • That's true. He may have ended up keeping her on a recurring basis, like Dr. Michaels on ATWT. I'm trying to remember if GL had a similar long-running therapist.
    • Oh in terms of ratings I think it would have been in a dicey place probably even before then. I mostly was just thinking of if the show could have carried on creatively.
    • Even if by some miracle Knots Landing continued, 1994/95 it would have been killed by ER.

    • Assuming that Marland had been allowed to write the Carrie story the way he'd envisioned, Millette would've been involved in the story. And she might've played a role in Andy Norris' return (if the speculation on that had ever materialized, and Marland loved bringing back bad boys) But he doesn't seem interested in Sara's personal life. And the women of Springfield could only be analyzed so much.
    • This better be something, because as I said, so far it's just cliches and stereotypes -- the story we've heard a thousand times about the homeless person who doesn't want a home and prefers to live on the streets.
    • @rsclassicfanforever thank you very much for the recent uploads of season 13 containing some episodes that were skipped or glitchy on YouTube!  I had a look at 3172 though and there is no audio for most of it? Would you have a copy with complete audio? Fingers crossed! Thanks again!

    • I like Margaret well enough in what I've seen of her as Paige - she is green but she has real star power.  I agree about the actor who plays Brian. He's...mostly just there. Not bad but not great.  My main issue is with the guy who plays Owen. He's just not appealing to me. I can believe Nola being obsessed with him, but he's draining to watch.  I'm surprised people objected to the quasi-incest elements as it wasn't anything that new for soaps.  Speaking of Kim, here's a rare episode of an anthology show she did called The Evil Touch.

    •   I get what you're both saying, and I think the show was lucky to have even made it that long, but I think they could have still maintained a certain audience - Second Chances did before the earthquake. CBS was an older network anyway. I think the premise of Knots was still usable, it was more the characters who were a problem - many of the older figures were played out. If the show had done a better job building up its younger cast instead of making so many poor choices in the late '80s and early '90s, they could have kept things going a little longer.
