DAYS: March Discussion Thread

As cheesy as Muldoon is, I find someone wanting Austin more believable than the long list of women lining up for the unclean orange man. I just think it's all so rushed. They rush everything or drag it out while they try to come up with the next plot point. No storytelling.

The whole story is a little strange because Kate Mansi has said Abby's obsession is about not having a good enough father. Yet, if you watch the episodes, you'd think she has a romantic fixation on Austin.

I have no strong opinion on Lucas but I love the rapport Bryan and Lauren have. It's so natural.

It's all about a romantic fixation. Abby says she's in love with Austin and wants a future with him and how Carrie is awful all the damn time. Kate Mansi clearly isn't reading her scripts very well.

The rapport between Bryan and Lauren is wonderful, truly one of the best, if not the best, mother/son chemistry their has ever been in daytime.

That says it all, really. Even Kate Mansi is saying Abby couldn't possibly be romantically attracted to Austin in his current incarnation.

I think Abby has confused her obsession with a daddy figure with romance, and she is projecting that on Austin.

Which is a ridiculous story given that Austin is neither Jack's age or attractive enough to warrant any sort of obsession.

Cheesy?! Austin Peck was cheesy. Cheesy can be great. Patrick Muldoon is irritating like a bad rash. And he looks pretty unclean and orange to me...horrific storyline. They should be begging Austin Peck to return.

I say cheesy mostly because of the voice, which reminds me of Michael Damian.

Muldoon is not someone great but then the only person who actually wants him is insane. Meanwhile, it seems like half the women of Salem obsess over Daniel to the point of complete nervous breakdown.

IA and I also think LR was looking a little bit too tan especially standing next to LK. She either needs to stay out of the sun or away from the tanning booths

I agree I don't know much history so when she said Mom I went Huh? I didn't know Kate is Billy's mom I wasn't watching then.

Thanks for the excuse to show a classic clip. Here's oldKate trying to get Billie to accept her as her mother

Honestly Days is the one show, with a few exceptions, where the majority of the cast actually aged well and most look better, to me, than they did in the 90's.

Carre found out already? This storyline only been playing for a couple of months and then it ends abrupty? I'm calling a rewrite on this! All throughout the episode kept hoping Carrie wouldn't find out and somehow Abby/Austin would make up some excuse to get out of it. Not only did Carrie find out that Austin was the guy Abby kept talking about, but she also found out they "slept" together....all in one episode? There's so much that could've happened, like more people finding out first, or more close calls. The only secret that's left is Austin finding out that he didn't sleep with Abby but that secret won't matter if Austin/Abby aren't together.

I also sense there was some rewrites with the Alamainia storyline too - they're already trying to get back to Salem?

Muldoon is just fine, he is pretty hot to me, oh and where has KM ever said that about PM? I doubt she's that unprofessional(to the poster that said that)

AP returns I stop watching, he's that bad, he's the female Farah Fath

It's weird for me hearing all the Muldoon complaints, because I've loved him since he first returned. I think his voice is one of the best things about him. His hair does look very 90s, I would like to see him try cutting it very short. I could see him pulling that off. I also like the chemistry with Abby and wish the story had lasted long. I agree with Toups, this screams re-write.

I'm about a week behind, but is Lisa Rinna as bad as I've been hearing?

Absolutely rewrites for both...and about damn time because both stories are excruciating to watch, especially John and Hope in Alamania "storyline" which is about as hacked up as it gets. The stupidity of Austin/Abby/Carrie/John/Hope is astounding, the writers have taken ice cream scoop chunks out of their brains. It's ridiculous and I hope these storylines are being dumped.

If Muldoon cuts his hair we'd all see his receding hairline and it's clear he isn't comfortable with that. His face is too craggy and burned out to support a buzz cut. He's just awful and I FF all his scenes.

Lisa Rinna is absolutely as bad as you've been hearing. Her lips and cheeks are HUGE, she doesn't look like she did on her reality show Harry Loves Lisa and her acting skills have gone right down the toilet, where is the Taylor McBride from Melrose Place that I know and love? She's dreadful and I don't see her lasting long. She should stick to being a 'personality'...it pays better and she's far better suited to it as it is.

Absolutely! His voice is the absolute worst part of him. Let's not even get into his sun ravaged, burned out pretty boy losing his hair ungracefully with a combover and plenty of hairspray looks...Abby is supposed to be obsessed with THAT? Austin Peck, I could believe. Muldoon...please, he's a washed up boy band member with the voice of a hoarse drag queen.

His chest looks pretty old for a 40s guy...his chest looks like some old 90 year old.....
