OMG, I cant with Nicole anymore. She is WAY too soft these days. I was hoping this would bring back her inner bitch but she's acting so much mature and grounded than I expected. I guess they will use her baby as an excuse to keep her from getting involved in stressful situations, but it seems kind of a missed oppurtunity to have her and Sami hating on each other again and/or her trying to get revenge on EJ for hurting her. I HATE storylines involving a pregnant woman hiding the baby from the birth father. One of the most overdone storyline types and I rarely find it entertaining. They better not have Daniel lie and claim to be this kid's father.

Sami on Nicole: "Come on. You expect me to care. Are you serious? She's gonna come back to you. She has no self respect. Stupid cow" Ugh! I wish I could hate on Sami for that comment but its so true and I cant deny that.

More Chloe mentions sad.png Man I wish she were coming back to the show

Anyone else get the feeling that Princess Gina is about to make a return. I think Hope's memories are gonna be alot more real than she would want them to. I sure hope so bc I find KA more interesting when she's playing the more bitchy roles like Gina or NT Hope

They seem to have no interset in Nicole's character or personality. They just want yet another excuse to rip off an old story (and yet another Sami story). I'm not sure I can remember any headwriters who just blatantly redo every single story they can find.

Sami hid her last pregnancy (Grace/Sydney) from E.J. because she witnessed the Dimera hitman kill Mayor Marino, Abe's predecessor. When Sami went into protective custody, she hadn't revealed to E.J. she was pregnant. She almost did, but Nicole revealed to E.J. she was pregnant, too. Sami ended up calling Nicole a liar because she was aware of Nicole's fertility history. Anyway, in protective custody, Sami decided to protect this child from its Dimera roots by not telling E.J. she was pregnant.

I would love a Princess Gina return! But like so many other stories, it's been there, done that. If Hope started acting funny, everyone (Bo, John, etc.) would know what was up right away.

Wow I couldn't even remember the details. I thought her witness protection had something to do with Andre DiMera.

Im not seeing a whole lot of interest in EJ either. Nor do I see anyone other than Nicole fans enjoying him. The mayor storyline became a backdrop for EJ and Nicole ticklefights and smarminess. And another hide the paternity from EJ.How about at least move the baby drama to some new characters. But Nicole hasn't been written as a villianess in a long time. Other than less focus and story I.m not seeing a drastic change in the writing for her.

Aside from people who hate Sami it's tough to know what is enjoyable on the show at the moment. Even that has fallen flat, due to repetition and weak acting and pacing.

Oh yeah, Will kissed a boy in between tantrums. I guess that's two good things then.

Shes really about the only one getting consistant writing and story and I am enjoying her more because there hasn't been a pity party for her across the canvas and good or bad actress, I normally find her entertaining.I think Im over Will hating on Sami so maybe Lucas returning will help move that story along. I have zero interest in any of this Alamania stuff. The story with Abby I kind of like but I might have liked it more if it wasn't Austin again and if Abbys behaviot could be rooted in something real.No interest in anything Jennifer, Jack, Brady, or Madison

I watched a bite of Days over the past weekend and I was so surprised by how much I loved pieces of the episodes. I loved Rafe/EJ/Sami/Nicole screaming at each other and generally hatred across the board it really seemed to fit. That blow out was probably the best one I have seen in awhile in Salem. I liked the John/Hope stuff as well as Marlena/Will interactions. I wish I had more time to dedicate to the show. It seemed to gel really well from what I have seen.

    • Awesome Yep, you can hook up a VHS player to a smart TV. Alternatively, Amazon sells some VHS to Digital converters that you can use to directly connect the VCR's AV cables  to a USB on a laptop or PC. They cost about 20 bucks. Any questions or need help, DM me!
    • -- "The role of Ted Richardson is now being played by...." I love that throwback to soaps from yesteryear. I know we don't want BTG to be our grandmother's soap, but sometimes Grandma's soaps had it right. -- I was FULLY prepared to dislike Keith D. Robinson as Ted, and I even went through things in my mind that I could say because I was fine with Maurice Johnson and felt bad for him.     However, Robinson was awfully good, especially for Day 1. He's a different Ted, but he's a good actor -- natural and real. People saying Gates "should have gone older" are head-scratchers since Robinson is older than Johnson. -- I expected Bill to be tougher than he was with Dana, THE worst mother of the year on soaps. -- Kat went toe-to-toe in those scenes with Dana. We're all in love with Ambyr/Eva, but Colby/Kat is also killing it. -- Derek and Ashley? I'm turning on Ashley, who can't even pretend to like Derek, let alone love him. Her annoyance with him is overboard, and I'm also annoyed with the show portraying Derek as a Neanderthal -- to the point of putting "Neanderthal" in his dialogue. Every single thing he does annoys Ashley, which makes me wonder what she ever saw in him. I want him away from her. -- Seeing Derek and Ashley in that bed was hilarious. It looks like a single, not something for two grown adults. -- Ashley and Andre are still a no for me -- a big no. I see no reason why he'd be infatuated with her. None. At least Andre got a smile from her, which she didn't have for Derek, even when he wanted them to get a bigger place. Derek, please dodge the bullet.
    •   I LOVED Hennig’s Stephanie. AK is Stephanie in name only. Stephanie was never boring to me.
    • July 2012, Abe organized a gala that was an autism fundraiser in Lexie's honor.  This was the huge event everyone was attending (except Gabi and Melanie in the tunnels).. -- when the gas explosion occurred and the building collapsed.  The "Daysaster" cliffhanger before the Olympics break.
    • I think maybe Andre is subconsciously looking for a caretaker/nurturer in his life to replace his parents. That would explain his attraction to both Ashley (nurse) and Dani (older woman/his aunt's sister). I don't see any chemistry between Ashley and Andre though. In fact Andre and Derek had more chemistry in the pasta night episode than either of them have ever had with Ashley.
    • My only recollection of Ms Felder in Tom Lissanti's book is that she was not well liked backstage, and nobody was aware of rumors that she was fired because of her looks, including the network executive interviewed for the book.
    • a) you would not be sorry, but  b) full episodes from the first half of '89 are hard to find.
    • Ya see..., that's why I can't watch this show on my own!

I'm ripping it for being dumb, meanwhile half the episode goes over my head.  Hello pot, I'm kettle.
    • When put very plainly it wouldn't make sense, but you could say that Ashley would prefer someone that can pay his own way without sharing expenses and has more than a working class experience. Andre might want someone more stable and level headed. Of course the issue is that the characters don't match despite the plausibility of a connection making s
    • I am fine with no one mentioning Bob-ette again.  It's frustrating not ever knowing what was up with him truly or why we wasted so much time on that to never get a conclusion.  I am willing to forget it though. Abe being on the board makes more sense to me because of Lexie and Theo.  I think there was a wing dedicated to Autism research or treatment years ago possibly named after Theo and Lexie was the chief of staff at some points and worked there for years.  I could see Abe having interest in the hospital still.
