Nicole made Daniel look like such an idiot. He needs to sit his ass down too. She completely owned he and little Miss Muffet in that scene. Surprisngly, Jack is the only one on that team that came out okay

Jack and Daniel were also surprisingly good at the beginning. Its obvious their problem is Jennifer. Without her, they seemed perfectly fine

LOVED seeing Will side with EJ over Sami and put his hand on his shoulder. Sami looked livid! LOL. I cant wait for the day Will announces to her that he's in love with EJ and that they are moving in together

Seeing Nicole slam Jennifer reminds me of the old days when Eve Donovan would slam Jennifer. The main putdown Eve had for Jennifer was her stringing along two men (at that time... it was Jack and Frankie.)... some things never change LOL

I actually like the idea of Jennifer/Nicole being rivals... Jennifer needs someone to take her down a peg and no one else seems up to the job.. why not the queen of all snark! TEAM NICOLE!!

Exactly. It's embarrassing to see a middle-aged woman still being treated like a teenager. Having her men come and save her. Other characters addressing this might be a good first step. Now let's have someone point out her horrible washed out hair.

Sami and Will are too much alike for me to invest in both their stories - it's basically the same character with different names. I think the show needs balance. They have just done a poor job setting up most of the other stories. The writing for Alice's secret is especially odd.

As they should be, IMHO. When Will was the anti-Sami it always rang so false. This is much better, and he is interesting. Finally the son of Sami brady shows up. And his relationship with Marlena is amazingly done. The chem CM/DH have is amazingly realistic.

The show needs balance, yes, but what they really need is constant good writing, some stakes at play, character motivation, and stories to have impacts. While a lot of stuff happens on the show, it all seems pointless as nothing seems to actually change.

M&D have done great work with a few characters - Sami is the constantly the best written and most interesting and the most in character she has been in years. Will is interesting. Marlena came back and they worked her into the canvas, giving her strong connections and placed her in many storylines without forcing her at us. Jack, who i hate, has an interesting storyline. Bo & Hope work as a couple for the first time in many, many years. Kate is on point. They have done a so-so job with some others, like Abby, Chad, Melanie, Gabby, EJ, Carrie, Austin but they all need more work and some clear motivations, conflict, or drive. Then there are the characters who just need so much work I wonder if it is worth it - Nicole, Rafe, Daniel, jennifer - just to name a few.

As for the stories, the alice's mystery is interestimg but its so on and off, up and down, and everywhere that its hard to invest in. It also seems not well planned out and like they are making it up as they go - never a good thing to come across on screen even if it is the case. Stefano/Kate & Maggie/Victor were a bright spot in the past few years and now seem lost. The Mad World vs CW story has good moments, but something is just off and making it seem a bore. That john storyline - i dont even know what to say. Beyond awful.

To me Will isn't very interesting. The idea of EJ luring Will into a bad life is interesting, but that's because of the story, not Will. It's not a lot different than when Stefano was doing this to Will a few years ago, except now there's some lip service for his tears of rage over being gay.

I think she most interesting thing about Sami is waiting for when her world is going to fall apart. That, and her relationship with Kate. I think she's too one-note with Marlena and both she and Will are brats.

I think Nicole's a great spark plug character, which DAYS has little of at the moment. Rafe I don't think is that bad - I think he's just dull and gets a lot of flak because people seemed to hate Sami/Rafe. I think he's an OK B-level leading man, and he doesn't have that sleaze which bothers me with Daniel. He kind of reminds me of Drake Hogestyn long ago. I just don't really get the idea of Carrie/Rafe, at least not with these "cute" or "sexy" scenes. Neither actor can play those, and honestly I'm not sure if anyone could.

I would write Jennifer out. I don't see the point in her now. I don't care about Abby either, or most of the teens. The show just seems to keep doing revolving pairings instead of writing for them as characters. Chad is bare bones as a character, which is a shame. Not even getting into the non-character that is Sonny.

    • Joel Crothers would have been perfect as Owen (maybe because Margo wasn't too far off Denise). A shame he couldn't have played a dual role. Eliot did have more room to grow. I wonder if whatever allegedly happened with Denny Albee played a part in both their exits.

    • I remember Evie's last scene and it was in Justin Marler's house and she is telling them that Ben is asking for a reconciliation and she is going to join him. I always have wondered what Janet Grey did after leaving Guiding Light (I know from the interview with Kathleen Cullen that she did have a baby and they stayed in touch for awhile).
    • https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/may/11/trump-accept-luxury-plane-gift-qatar Donald Trump is reportedly ready to accept a luxury plane described to be a “palace in the sky” being offered to the US president as a gift from Qatar’s royal family, almost immediately igniting accusations of bribery and corruption as well as commensurate criticism. citing multiple sources familiar with the matter, ABC reported (link) that the Trump administration was preparing to accept a luxury Boeing 747-8, a jumbo jet from the Qatari royals that was estimated to be about $400m. Trump would then use the 13-year-old plane as the new Air Force One until shortly before the conclusion of his second Oval Office stint, at which point it would be transferred to his presidential library foundation no later than 1 January 2029. The luxury gift from Qatar is expected to be announced next week during Trump’s three-day tour of the Middle East that includes Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, ABC reported. Trump toured the opulent plane in February while it was parked at the West Palm Beach international airport, ABC added. According to ABC’s sources, Trump’s attorney general Pam Bondi and his top White House lawyer David Warrington have pre-emptively concluded that it is “legally permissible” for Trump to accept the luxury gift and then transfer it over to his presidential library.
    • Yeah I’m confused how wearing baggier clothing wouldn’t just make him even smaller. I have no problem with his fashion at all. He’s a well put together man.
    • The problem is that foyer doesn't look like it has ANY connection to that garbage glitter trash living room at Bill and Hayley's. I have to disagree strongly with both of you on Andre's wardrobe. I like it -- a lot. I don't think anything about it is dated, but that he looks like a guy who cares about fashion. Andre is a short king, but I don't want to see him lost in baggy clothes or chunky sweaters.
