Members rlj
Got my GL sets. LOVE them. I wasnt expecting some forgotten Beth/Phillip scenes, LOL at them having a moment right in front of Mindy! Damn I loved the Nola/Kelly scenes, and Alex tearing into roger, Bev rocked those scenes! Members Khan
The thought of "Mrs. Roper" as Aunt Liz just cracks me up. LOL!
Members DRW50
I watched Reva's wedding episode (the first wedding to Joshua). Initially I thought it might be a long Reva ego trip, since they had the scene of Reva walking down the aisle and having flashbacks of all her Lewis men. But they quickly moved to embrace the whole canvas, and their thoughts and stories, and the episode became a true beauty. I especially liked all the quiet moments, like Rusty being alone until Marah convinced him to dance with her. Wanda's constant talk about her boyfriend was hilarious. The whole episode had a big heart and a certain integrity.
Members edgeofnik
I had no idea! I watched AW faithfully from 78-86 and then off-and-on. Are there any clips of her available?
Members RogerNewcomb
I have Lenore & Walter's wedding (a fuzzy copy) and will check to see if she's in that.
Members SFK
She is! She has an exchange with I think Lenore's mother about how Bill was with Lenore first and how it all could have gone so differently, but of course she adores "Melissa" (Missy). I think she intimates that it's Lenore's fault, and the lady she's speaking with gets fed up and in so many words tells her it was Liz's meddling that probably did it. It's a nice little glimpse of the character.
Members Goldensoaps
The GL on DVD fever continues.....now in Europe...The german company Fernsejuwelen will start to release Guiding Light on dvd. The first box will be released on june the 22nd. The show ran for nearly 13 years in Germany (1986-1999). With the episodes from 1979-1992 from the US. I assume they will start off with 1979, not sure about it. The region is 2 so if you are in the US make sure you have a region free dvd player. The box-set can be bought from www.amazon.de
Members DRW50
That sounds great. I hope that they get to release some 1979 material here too.

Members Soapsuds
Thanks for the news. Now how do u know if you have a region free dvd player?? Or how do you know which ones they are in the stores? I'd love to get the B&B one and the GL one too.
Members KMan101
It should say on either the back of the dvd player or in the booklet
Members Wendy
And some DVD players can be modified to be region free if they aren't. Philips is one brand that is very easy to alter.
Members ~bl~
Is it on Amazon.de yet? I couldn't find it under Springfield Story or Guiding Light... I too am going to look into getting an all region as I doubt they will ever give us the 1979 episodes in the US on disk.
Members DavidsMuse
Is there a direct pre-order link? I wasn't able to find it doing a general search. I hope there will be an English audio choice!
