Wow watching that clip makes me miss Salem Place

Really enjoyed that scene with Will and Marlena when he says he is having feelings he can't control.

Will is having feelings he can't control? Was he talking about gay feelings? If so, I think he's been controlling those feelings very well. He doesn't show the inner struggle with his sexuality (something the audience really should've seen by now). He doesn't look at Sonny like he wants him, he hasn't fantasized about Sonny or any other man in any sexual way. Will's just not giving himself enough credit because I think he's done a fantastic job at squelching his presumed homoerotic desires.

Marlena needs to stop interjecting herself into Sami's life. First putting up the tree anTd now her vows renewal? She's just asking for trouble and needs to clear her issues in private instead of forcing herself onto Sami in front of her kids. As a shrink, she should no better. She's a bitch too.

The conclusion to John's story was stupid but I guess at least its over.

I tried catching up and I can't get over how boring this show is. It's the soap I want to enjoy the most, with the larger amount of stories/characters I'm interested in right now, but it isn't working. I don't mind a slow moving soap (RH, Y&R and PSNS are my faves), but this is more dull than anything. Hopefully things get kicking soon. They need to stop saying they're setting things up or building because that is a load of garbage. They simply don't know how to pace and stagger their stories so you have something interesting going on everyday. It's also about time Lexie got something to do since they are featuring her more. It's a waste of money if she's just a talk to. Goes for Kate and many others as well.

Also, is it just me or does Nicole seem pointless? I know her character was a huge hit under Higley, but I just haven't felt anything for her post Crystal Galore. She's a dull heroine, IMO.

Though Arianne Zucker has grown alot as an actress I liked Nicole much more during her first run.

I think she's a supporting character with a purpose, but they're trying to make her a lead heroine and it just doesn't work. They need a new direction for Nicole. It's like what happened with Phyllis, Michael and Kevin on Y&R. They were all great supporting characters, but then the writers turned these evil characters into sainted heros and heroines and it doesn't work. Some characters work better as outsiders scrapping through life. I think Nicole is one of them. I want to see her struggling more and fighting for whats he wants. Doesn't mean she has to be evil, but I need more edge.

Nicole was god awful during her first run. I always thought she was a terrible, unlikeable character. I only started to love her since I started watching again in summer of last year. She works rather well the way she is now and I prefer her like this. I do wish she had a bit more bitch in her but I think she needs a rival in order to light that fire. I think Sami is played out in that role and dont want to see them go at it again although it seems as if thats where they are heading. I do enjoy it more with she and Kate though. Jenn as her rival is just pathetic and I had no interest in her fighting with Marlena. If Peck was back as Austin, I think she'd work great up against Carrie.

Frankly the same song and dance with Nicole, Sami, EJ, Rafe has gotten old and played out. Both Nicole and Rafe as characters would benefit from moving on. Hopefully Rafe and Carrie do move forward in some way and I think they have missed an opportunity to move Nicole on post EJ. Its boring now and with EJ there is always someone else. This has beem happening now for 4 years with them. How about a Jack/Nicole/Jennifer triangle. This show never does anything new with Jack - SSDD. He and Nicole could find some common bond and it would move her on from the toxic 4some. But then Sarah's character of Madison is now a snooze as are Brady/Madison and I had high hopes for her too.They need female rivalries, real ones. Kate/Madison's potential IMO has been wasted and watered down. None of the characters barring Will have any fire on this show now. It seems the writers are or have been told to play it safe. I don't think DOOL is bad just boring and I have become apathetic to it for the most part.
