This was a great episode and I thought there was one twist telegraphed but it turned out to be something else.

I agree. Probably among it's darkest episodes. Loved the twist at the end. Can't wait to see it unfold.

This was another good one. The show has suddenly become very Gwenified. wingwalker, it looks like we are the only two left in this thread. I wonder if anyone else is watching.

Gwen is possessed or enchanted and is now a villain, so I could see a child viewer just hating her for what she does to poor Merlin.

The BBC is cancelling Merlin after this season. There will be two part sesaon finale this Christmas. The chatter is that negotiations for a sixth season fell through for some reason, maybe money. I must admit to having lost interest in the show as this season progressed.

That's sad the hear, for as I still enjoy the show,though not as much as I used to but am I not surprised I think part of the problem is they dragged out the reveal of Merlin using magic too long and people got disinterested. Killing off Uther and making Arthur king last season was a good shakeup, but wasn't enough IMO. Arthur should have figured out Merlin does magic long ago and makes him look stupid for not figuring out by now and having Arthur get knocked unconscious nearly every episode too keep the secret going is stupid and repetitive as well.

Here is the next episode. Gwen and Morgana are upping their game and this was a pretty good show.

I am sorry to hear the show is ending. Merlin was a great show for children but one that was interesting enough that an adult could watch. Ending at Christmas means there are probably four episodes left.

Good episode again, and really showcased the acting talent of Colin Morgan.

The episode was good but a bit of a stall to be honest. With only a few episodes left I don't know what they are waiting for, but you can see the end is in sight.

I'm with ya. Good episode, but I felt they could have moved things forward more given how few episodes they have left. I hope the last episode doesn't end up coming across too much of a rush job.
