Kirsten Storms (Maxie) is out temporarily at GH and has been replaced. A casting call went out last week for a "25ish, sexy, hip, quirky, has vitality, charisma and personality. Strongly prefer blonde. ****1-2 month recurring role." A show spokesperson says, "Due to illness of Kirsten Storms, the role of Maxie Jones will be temporarily recast by Jen Lilley with a first airdate of September 28. The cast and crew of General Hospital wish Kirsten a speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming her back to the set soon."

Temp recasts have become a fascination of mine and I'm glad GH is keeping the tradition going.

I wish I could say "rehab" did not occur to me given the length of time indicated.

Did they have to recast Maxie? She seems so useless these days and its not like one would notice her absense. I guess Kate does need someone to boss around now that she's back

Dirty Soap first airs on the 25th. I am assuming they have filmed the first season and if it does well they will pick up a second season. I wouldn't think they would be filming now.

If KS is gonna be out for that length of time than a recast is a must. GH did it in 1994 when Anna Lee was Ill and we got about 10 weeks Of Meg Wyllie as Lila

I am hoping this is more about an eating disorder than drugs. KS is petite, to be diplomatic , and in the past has looked like a concentration camp victim. She is entirely too thin.
