Exactly! How about, we still wear clothes, we do our own hurr, but we just don't have our faces professionally beat? To me, that's a more interesting contrast. No one expects anyone to look great when they just rolled out of bed/stepped out of the shower and haven't done SH!T for their appearance.

I was looking back at how I used to say I disliked this show.... Gosh how things change. I LOVE it now.

I still wish Leah was on instead of Aisha. Don't miss Holly. Never saw Marissa enough to judge if I liked her in this format or not.

I love all of the ladies except Aisha.

I was watching some of the episode Lisa Whelchel co-hosted, and it was a blast seeing everyone dressed as Facts of Life characters. Lisa actually looked almost the same as the Blair days, especially from a distance.

Sara Gilbert dressed as Jo. I was cringing a little when they actually asked Lisa if Jo was a lesbian (of course she's been asked this before, but not sure if it was on national TV). Lisa said no, Jo had many boyfriends and was the only one to get married. Sara and someone else said that didn't matter. Given Lisa's...views, and Sara Gilbert being a lesbian, I thought it might get ugly, but fortunately that topic was changed quickly.

Sharon's such a bitch. I just watched the WWHL appearance featuring the ladies and Andy asked if they'd ever invite Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete back on the show and she responds by saying "there's always a job in catering"

Lisa as Blair? Yes. (Duh.) Sara as Jo? Yes. Julie as Mrs. Garrett? Yes, sort of. But Sheryl as Natalie and Aisha as Tootie? No.

Say what you like about Sherri "The Earth is Round?" Shepherd, but I'll bet you won't catch her ass on a giant fake apple.

    • Lol.  I love that this board still allows misinformation from a bad source.
    • Thanks @kalbir what a time to have enjoyed the peak of the primetime soaps. Haha you’re good. The only complaint I have with Lorraine’s death as I mentioned recently in the FC thread was it was overkill, and all we got Apollonia. If a pregnant woman had to be killed off, I would’ve chosen just killing off Robin instead in some freak accident or in the explosion at Richard’s to save us from us that disaster lol.    Did Hotel have a cliffhanger that year? I imagine if Hotel had been soapier we would’ve had cliffhangers like the hotel catching on fire or bombed by an ex-lover of Christine. Peter pisses everyone off and is shot in his office. Or a major Golden age star like a Olivia de Havilland shows and tells how she originally owned the Hotel and how Victoria Cabot & Laura Trent stole it from her but now she owns it etc.

Ginger Smith seemed really passionate about being in the executive producer position, and I think she really did a fantastic job in six weeks. It was just well done.
    • I totally didn’t pick up on that. Just perfect! I don’t get the Maurice Johnson hate around here at all. He didn’t take me out of the scenes at all. I understood everything he was portraying. It was great. I do wonder if there will be a personality shift with the new actor, whom I’m still not excited about. Exactly. Right? I’m in the exact same boat as you. Agree with most of this except I never found anything off with Ted, didn’t suspect a thing. I just watched yesterday’s episode and it was one of the best soap episodes I’ve seen in a very long time. I was enthralled the entire time. Just fantastic.
    • Yep! Very curious to see where this goes.
    • I was confused too, but I think it was always a "tribute thread" (this one and OLTL's were created when their cancellations were announced). They just changed the show abbreviations to their titles spelled out, I guess to make the board just a little bit more uniform. I was lost, too lol
    • Well... I am. I think she's losing her initial menacing presence. Slowly but surely. I need the crazy dialed back. But as I said... this is very miniscule negative reaction. I am loving the show right now. We'll see how they'll continue after the fireworks.
