Wanted to share an article written by Michael Logan when Emily McLaughlin passed away.

wow how telling,

"But unlike...tradition conscious soaps, GH never saw much value in its roots."

I guess Monty did a lot more hurt than good.

Considering without her changes the show would have been canceled, I don't see how that is possibly true.

IA. While Monty didn't have an on-air tribute to Emily, at least she didn't butcher the characters that came before her beyond recognition.

John Beradino with Mae Clarke as Nurse Marge Brown. Clarke was a movie actress from the 30's most famous for having a grapefruit squashed into her face by James Cagney in 'Public Enemy'.Clarke wanted a contract which cash strapped GH could not offer so Lucille Wall took over in a similar role and created the iconic role of Lucille March.

I love ALL of these pics!

Cheap, I'm glad I'm not the only Skye/Jax fan around here. LOVED them and they were the main reason I didn't like Brenda's 02 return very much -- She ruined them!

These were great. Who was the woman with Monica at the end?

I love seeing those old cast photos with the early 70's cast who seemed very popular but were mostly dumped a few years later.
