Ahh yes...forgot to mention Labine in there! The gold standard!

I loved the petualnt diva mob wife she brought to the role. I woukd rank her performance above Laura Wright with SJB being the best in the role.

I would absolutely rank TB second to SJB.  In fact, I liked her more than SJB, but I can recognize the greatness of SJB's Carly.  I think TB was perfect for Carly in that moment.  Good romantic chemistry with MB, slightly less volatile, great at emotional scenes, an ease with her most important co stars, etc.  Could I see her playing Carly now?  Not really.  Honestly her work as Ava is so boring I don't even know why I loved her so much.

Her work as Kim you mean? Ava was Carly from ATWT.

Speaking of that, Carly Tenny and SJB's Carly Roberts had alot of storyline parallels. Child passed between multiple baby daddies while truly in love woth one guy. Blonde, scheming, and the show's outcast.

TB's work as Ava on Days.  Her work as Kim might be worse than Ava, but GH never played any of the appropriate beats with her.

Ahhhhhh copy!!! My familiarity with DOOL is not too strong!

Kim's story was poorly done. she was never used as the villain she could've been. I would've rather seen her break up Sonny and Carly's marriage than Nina, had she been written more similar to the character she played as Carly. Sarah Brown's return as Claudia was a better done storyline with more long reaching consequences.

You would think they would use TB/MB's chemistry especially with the build up of Oscar's mom.  You really thought she was going to be surprising-not a weepy version of Carly.

Great chat w/ vets Kin Shriner and Jackie Zeman...Maurice is so eager to hear stories from GH's glory days.  So nice to hear mentions of Chris Robinson, Gerald Gordon and Steve Bond.

Can't wait for Pt 2.

I loved the stories about people hogging airtime when it was live to tape and Robinson speaking quietly to force them to film him in closeup so they could hide the boom by bringing the camera in closer.  Hilarious.

Mo is just as bad as Alan, still i love Jackie and Kin's stories.

Agree. He fumbles, mumbles and stumbles.

He acts so interested in GH past but has zilch knowledge beyond superficial stuff.

Saw Kin posted this throwback on Twitter. He was a cutie back then, and I think the only character on GH I have liked as both a nice guy and a total unapologetic scumbag.  Scotty is such a great character.

well now we know why Laura fell for him

BTW i don't know if someone already shared it but i don't think it gets more classic than that

Great stuff in Pt 2.  Recollections of Rick Springfield, Demi Moore and John Stamos from their GH days.

I don’t understand why Maurice always asks guests about drug use in the 80s...Tristan Rogers refused to discuss it and Kin looks nonplussed with the question, but he does let a few tales loose.

Overall, excellent tidbits for 80-era GH fans…

While I can't know Mo's inspiration for asking, after reading Larry Lau's blogs on his experience with drugs in the 80s, it lead me to believe that the influence was prevalent and drug use may often be the answer as to why certain characters were written off prematurely or good actors were never seen again.
