I remember reading at the time that it was kind of an unwritten rule among the various executive producers that no one was going to change the intro. I agree with the poster who said they should have just re-recorded Autumn Breeze and filmed/taped a new shot of the ambulance approaching the USC medical center.

I try not to think about the Luke/Felicia number from 2001, no matter how much a certain friend trolls me with the video. The image burned into my brain, though, is Felicia dancing around her living room bowlegged caterwauling "Swannee River" rehearsing for it beforehand. I love Kristina Wagner again today even though she's no thespian, but in those days with Luke Felicia was utterly unbearable and adding singing was the stake in the heart.

There are at least two iconic scenes of Terri singing that spring to mind.

1) It is day of her wedding in Laureltown,  Anna is at the train station trying to get to the chapel to warn Terri that something is wrong in this little town, when Terri (under the unexplained influence of the local tainted water supply) begins walking down the main street, in her huge puffy wedding gown, belting out how Amazing Grace had saved a wretch like her

2) Later, when living at Brownstone, Terri bursts into song and somehow the gift of her voice cures Dr. Tony's impotence and saves his marriage to Bobby.  In a very odd scene the next morning Tony thanks Terri for helping to cure him.

BUT give it up for @Vee

Who could forget the cheesiest pop star of all - Sean Donnelly's long lost and soon forgotten son Connor? (cued up to my favorite spot)

This is hilarious.  Is he performing live to his own music video?  That seems...rendundant lol.

I agree the music could be a little cheesy in the 90's and I don't think the Outback, Luke's and sometimes Jake's all needed to be a place people needed to sing live at.  Add the nurses's Ball and traveling to Puerto Rico to see a concert-it's a lot of singing.   Is PC that big of a music mecca?  I get that it's not very exciting to watch other people reacting to people singing, but I loved the idea of Luke's as a bluesy club and L&B as a business venture that Lois/Brenda could do where they actually showed them doing work.

The first few years of the NB worked because they felt like a variety show more with some silly acts.  When it became really glossy and characters that would never perform started to perform it got clear they ran out of ideas.  It's certainly not a nadir of viewing, but why would anyone want to watch Chloe/Jax ballroom dance?

Terry's choice of Tania as a bridesmaid seems random

It's sort like when Claudia was Laura's bridesmaid (at her first wedding to Luke) and then they hardly ever shared another scene together.

I wish someone would do a deep dive into the most forgettable wedding party maids or groomsmen of Port Charles.

Eh, they were neighbors at the brownstone and Tony was Kevin, Patrick and Bobbie's colleague. That's close enough for me. If Terry had asked, say, Celia Quartermaine to be a bridesmaid, that would have been a stretch.

I wish I still had my copy of Love, Honor and Cherish to look up GH wedding parties.

    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).
