Angie/David were fabulous today, R. Just watch their scenes if you can't stomach the rest, and, given the constant talk of STDs, you probably won't be able to. Nowhere near "bag of blood" territory, though, so there's that.

I maintain that without Jesse, Angie would have been sort of an ally for David, that person to make him see reason when he can not.

 That was a put-down-the-dish-towel-and-have-a-seat moment.

So true. Imagine being someone who can't stand Zendall but really likes Kendall/Griff having to root for my couple as they track down the killer of a character I hated. We had to endure months of that, so the show's been more than respectful of that nosy, mumbly idiot.

Damn, the economy is that bad?

I'm looking forward to the David/Angie scenes. The actors and characters fit well with each other.

The actors because they are veterans. Not "vets" but VETERANS. They've been through battles and wars. They know what it's like to work your ass of in spite of politics, crap writing, personal problems, co-stars with agendas, and the general asshatery that is being a contract actor on AMC.

I hope the writing provides the depth and layers deserve now and for the future. Hint: let the show end with Angie/Jesse saying they need to work hard on their marriage in light of the whole Lucy baby revelation even as David whispers in Angie's ear that he would've done the same thing Jesse did if it meant he could bring Leora back. Only to discover Anna has returned to Pine Valley seeking Jesse's help.

That tees up tons of story for the AMC novella, "All My Children: Love and Loss in the Daffodils"

Did anyone else think the way they were transitioning the scenes at the beginning was stupid...Lol I found that highly annoying for some reason!!

OMG I about fluttered into the sky when my Griff & Kendall had their first kiss! The second one was even better wub.gif LOVE them. I need them to pork at least once within the next 3 weeks. ;-)

It could be David, Jonathan, Jamie, or Jake. If it's not Jake then I don't see AMC delving into who else it could be. Really doubt it's David since he has SO much going on lately but who knows.

ICAM! Debbi & Vincent were both great and the writing matched them (thanks, Kate Hall!).

Me, too!

Yup.

I loved it too. I was actually thinking they should use that for the first few scenes every day.

If the show wasn't ending, I am sure Angie/David would have been pushed together. Maybe not full out romantically, but I think they'd move closer together to the point of friends. That alone would drive Jesse nuts. Darnell is so expendable. The magic of 20 years ago or whatever never really quite returned. Debbi is a keeper no matter what the circumstance. Darnell, not so much. Watch he moves to the websoap version.

I know I'm late to the party, but I also have to sing my praises to the Angie/David scenes! Highlight for sure.

Very interesting they decided to bring back David's past with his father, who drove himself to suicide in part due to Vanessa. Which btw, if the rumor is true that she is going to the AMC fan luncheon... then maybe we might just see her again before the finale! I mean think about it - she could be the head of this Orpheus Project. Orpheus sounds similar to Proteus...

    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
    • That's the one and only Carrie Nye (Mrs. Dick Cavett) as Susan Piper, a deadly realtor. I don't want to spoil a lot if you ever want to see those episodes. She returns as another character in 2003. I think Grant has aged well and he always did a good job at being ripped without going too far, but he was never entirely my cup of tea either. I did think John Bolger was hot.
    • Totally agree. KKL looks great! It makes the Widge groveling so bizarre. Brooke needs to leave FC and with $B's/Liam's funding launch a rival fashion house with Hope, Rick, Katie and a secret designer. The best scenario is that Rick has been absent because he's been with very much alive C2, who is revealed on the runway as the secret designer. It'll never happen because B&B is comfortable just focusing on FC and the Forresters Marones v. Logans. But it'd been so much more interesting if the Spencers/Logans united.
