More From Walt Willey

I am not blaming Susan or anybody else for PP's postponement of AMC! This is a huge undertaking - of which I have been supportive since the beginning - and setbacks are often part of such pioneering efforts.

I think PP needs to move on from the current actors and pursue past veterans and shore up newer characters (that are related to the other characters). AMC needs an overhaul. We all keep beating this dead horse that AMC needs to start over but PP seems to not realize this.

No question about it.

Just because this thread is a little archive, lets get this in...

There have been so many concerned people in regards to pp and Amc. I wish I had more information for you. Lets send our questions to @prospectpk

I still think AMC can work without Susan Lucci, at least in the beginning, and I say that as a Susan Lucci stan. They don't own Susan but they do own Erica and they can invoke the character's spirit by having her children and everyone else in town talking about her and wondering where the hell she is as she left Pine Valley humiliated and heartbroken after Jack quit her. Maybe she's in Hollywood doing the movie afterall, or maybe they could do the thing where we see the suede gloved hands of a body double checking into elegant resorts, shots of legs by the pool, red nailed fingertips flipping through photos, ultimately bringing Susan back or pulling off the major k*ck tease that this is some new or former character with a vested interest in Erica's life (undead Silver?).

I do NOT know what's been going on so I hate to judge, but it has been a couple months now and you'd think they'd kind of have their act together by now. The union thing for example seems like an issue that needed to be worked out before offer one.

The way I see it, Prospect Park doesn't owe us AMC or OLTL. We're lucky to get this chance and it's always been an effort that may or may not ultimately work out.

I do feel Prospect Park took on more than they could handle. They want it the same way: same heavy hitters, 250 episodes a year, 500 hours a year, 4 year contracts, January 2012. It's like me announcing that I'll be holding a buffer for 750 people starting tonite for every day for a year without a location, without help, with a small percentage of the money, with no food, etc. Surprise, poor turn out for my completely unfinished events. Financially and in the business architect and in terms of testing the waters, I think being flexible and going for seasons with both OLTL and AMC would have been a more successful idea than the firmness of it'll be exactly the same. The AFTRA issue first and foremost needs to be worked out. That should have been worked out even before negotiations. You risk losing talent by waiting but I also think having your act together before you come to performers could only help that issue at hand. I'll wonder for a while if Prospect Park not placing an executive producer or head writer for AMC also hurt negotiations.

My thoughts aside, I hope it works out for OLTL and I hope it will eventually works out with AMC and any other program PP wants to acquire and give a new life.

Ugh I hope not. Keep Cameron Mathison away!!!!

Lindsay Hartley would be fine though. I remember when she was suggested as a recast Kim.

Couldn't Darnell Williams just play the same character? PV and Llanview are right next to each other right? He could help the LPD with cases.

Before anyone here thinks about contacting Investors Please the following message from someone who has been in contact with PP on this issue:

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH PROSPECT PARK. THEY HAVE REQUESTED THAT ANY AND ALL TASKS THAT REQUIRE THE CONTACTING OF POTENTIAL INVESTORS BE HALTED IMMEDIATELY, AS THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN DAMAGING TO THE PROJECT. THERE ARE GROUPS THAT ARE TASKING THIS AND HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED THAT IT IS AGAINST PROSPECT PARK'S WISHES YET THEY ARE CONTINUING AND CAUSING GREAT HARM TO THE FUTURE OF THE SHOWS WE LOVE. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO COMMENT ON THIS THREAD AND/OR MESSAGE ME DIRECTLY.

THANK YOU,

KIMBERLY KELLY BLACKBURN

From Kimberly Kelly Blackburn

Damage was done already and this leader doesn't care. She was directly asked and refuses to oblige until PP calls her.

From Kimberly Kelly Blackburn

I am not sure but the group has a list of about 13 investors that they are contacting.

First, I do feel very bad for AMC fans. They've been screwed twice.

I'll take heat for saying this but as a big critic of PP's PR team, I have to say they are playing this blame game extremely well.

They carefully laid the ground work for pulling AMC on Lucci's shoulders when they first leaked Lucci turned down their offer to match her ABC salary. The press had a field day agreeing without Lucci, there couldn't be AMC. Then PP leaked unfortunately we have to shelve AMC... again reinforcing the message without Lucci, there can be no AMC. And unfortunately for AMC fans, that is the stance 99% of the press has bought into for years so they are totally buying that PR spin.

In that light you read Walt's tweet as reinforcing that while he doesn't personally blame Susan, others WILL and ARE

So stone me for saying it, but PP's PR did a good job here. The AMC fans can scream boycott, or whatever, but PP PR can say please we wanted badly to forge on but we respect that without Erica, there is really no AMC... and PP lets themselves off the hook.
