This is the absolute stupidest thing I've read about this whole thing yet! I really, truly hope -- for his sake -- his tongue is in cheek. Thank God Prospect Park isn't listening to everyone bitching about how to run their business. Even if they did take this idiotic suggestion, Ebony and Essence are monthlies. With it being late October, the "Darnell news" wouldn't even come out until the December issue. And although Jet is a weekly, its circulation is less than even the lowest rating on AMC this past year. I wish people with big mouths would at least know what they're talking about before they start criticizing.

LOL! So true. Jet has become such a parody of itself. Frankly, I'd be a lot happier to see a blurb in Essence, Ebony or Latina profiling someone of color in management at TOLN/PP, assuming of course they have such people. But I suspect that's just me pipe-dreaming again.

Actually if you do go to IMDB you'll see he was in the one movie you mentioned (a teen flick) and he was also in ...wait for it.....Hope & Faith....WITH Budig who also did several episodes of that show too.

And that would be all he has listed outside of daytime. We know he's a good actor and that's all he's done.... so not sure why you want to bash others for being able to get work outside of daytime....MUCH more work than him. Especially when as pointed out, they've done way more than your fav.

I didn't see her parts on HIMYM or CSI but her part on Castle was a nice one....as was her role on Hope & Faith where she did multiple episodes. LOL I imagine Hope & Faith though is not below your standards b/c JY did that too, correct?

Hope and Faith was a crap show period. JY being on it for a 2 minute cameo or whatever it was certainly didn't make it better. I don't delusionally think something is a great project just because my fave happens to be on it.

It did a few pages back and hit it's height here! I just always think it's silly when people knock certain actors and then have a avatar flashing in my face with an actor that's done way less....or more depending on what the argument is at the given moment. Happens all the time with the Zen contingent .....now sadly I was forced to point out things on an actor I really do like and do have much respect for his work within daytime.

I think it's pretty normal that JY hasn't had the illustrious primetime career that Rebecca Budig has had considering he's never left daytime.

FWIW: I like Budig and I think she's a good actress when she gives a damn and Greenlee is one of the reasons I became an AMC fan but I call foul when she's being portrayed by her fans as someone who's had so much success outside of daytime when that's simply not the case.

And again we agree. But again that's not what I said.....I simply pointed out to the poster that said they could see Minshew doing other things before RB ....that RB in fact has done many things .....FOR A SOAP actress. Not that they were the best movies ever not that she was the star of the show or she has some illustrious career.....just that she has done quite a bit and had some success in landing other gigs and one happened to be an award winning film..... While Minshew ...not that much.

May I just pipe up for those of us who don't give a flying [!@#$%^&*] about these actor wars. I feel like an old lady who lives on a block where crack dealers are fighting for territory. I care nothing about your war and as far as I'm concerned you're all dealing a bad product. Those of us who just want to sit on the stoop, listen to music and get our drink on without getting shot in your crossfire would be very grateful if you took your Bloods/Crips/Latin Kings stuff back to SOC. That's why they exist. I generally like all you gang members even when I disagree with you but I feel the need to reclaim this little bit of street for the people of the neighborhood.

It doesn't make sense keep having this fight since the show is over and none of these actors has signed with PP. It's the equivalent of rehashing Biggie vs. Tupac.

I agree, but it's tragically ironic. I remember when Jet used to be a pretty good little mag back in the day. I haven't read Ebony in years, which I'm thinking a lot of other people haven't either. Then again I haven't bought a soap mag in eons.
