Now AMC, no matter how much is happening behind the scenes, there is no way in hell. I just can't see it being possible. I'd focus on OLTL and launch AMC later (either as the original, a spin-off or just do a new soap).

PP would be a fool to launch with just OLTL imo it is not strong enough on its own and if the ratings are any indication I think they will lose a signification amount of viewers with the transition. Not only that look at how bad Dirty Soap is doing stuck in with mainstream programming non soap watchers are just not interested It is going to be a hard sell getting new eyes at The Online Network especially if they go with just one soap at launch and regardless of how easy it is to watch the internet on your tv older folks and that is the majority of the soap audience are not doing it.

Given how huffy her people were at the idea of her auditioning and having to take less pay than she did at ATWT, I can imagine their reaction to PP. Good luck to her in being a big success in something I don't watch. Dairy Queen ads might suit her.

Exactly Carl. How hard is she willing to work to make a primetime career work? I just don't see it happening for her. I do love her as Katie and Aubrey, but she strikes me as a lazy actress so Ic an't see her working hard for anything. Plus she's never done it before so it'll be a shock to her system.

She did have that syndicated teen show years ago, with Ryan Gosling.

I can see her doing OK, because she has some charisma and that peaches and cream look which will always sell. But her behavior at ATWT and some of her people's huffiness over her joining OLTL are not great calling cards.

While TC has the charisma, I don't seeing her have what it takes to draw people to a primetime show. If she was a supporting actress or a recurring character (like Lisa Kudrow was on Mad about you before landing Friends) then that might work, but I don't see her being able to carry the whole show.

The longer we wait to here news on AMC, whose staying and whose bolting makes my hope for the show fade a little bit more each day. I do think that ABC was VERY premature to cancel both AMC and OLTL and I do hope that they will indeed realize their mistake. Their decisions to cancel these shows, sounds very reminiscent to Proctor and Gamble's decisions to get out of the soap business as well when they cancelled the shows they produced.

I do think that OLTL and AMC both need an overhaul and relaunch, something ABC could've done and something I was hoping PP would do for both shows. They need to revitalize the core families on both OLTL and AMC and bring back members of those families, either with the original actors (if they're still alive) or with a new face. They also need to let our beloved characters get back to their "true" selves, not who the network's made them out to be. On AMC, I would LOVE to see Erica revive Enchantment with Kendall and Bianca and drop this whole talk show crap. On OLTL have Viki go back to work at the paper and battle it out with her brother Todd.

As for Debbi Morgan or Jacob Young being snobs.... I don't think they're snobs at all for turning down PP, since alot of their ideas are still up in the air. They're doing what they need to do at this time to provide for their families and pay their bills. Our economy has gotten worse and now is not the time for anyone, including actors to be out of work. Let's face it some of these people live paycheck to paycheck sometimes and many daytime actors have spoken about how they've received pay cuts and reduced hours, just like those of us working outside of the entertainment business ( I work in education and I've received pay cuts, anxiety over lay offs to which I've lost alot of friends and fellow co-workers too, cuts in supplements and benefits, increased working hours and work loads due to cuts in staff, etc). It is not easy. I too would be leery of jumping into what sounds like a promising venture with so much uncertainity still surrounding it, especially if I had other offers made to me to support my family.

Maybe I missed something. All I see is the rumor that she's saying no to PP, not that she said she's going to primetime or thinks she's going to make some kind of big splash. I don't know anything about TC. I've never seen her in anything and couldn't so much as pick her out of a police lineup but I don't understand the immediate hate for anybody who expresses misgivings or just good old fashioned lack of interest about PP. It's perfectly reasonable for these people to look at all their options even if those options include not acting anymore. I just saw on one actor's FB page that he's taken a teaching gig. Life goes on.

Well Maybe Days will cast TC as Sarah Horton Or Y&R As Grace. Maybe Jessica Forrester On B&B Or Sarah Webber On GH

I don't have any criticism of her for not wanting to go to PP. I was criticizing more because around the time that she joined OLTL, there were articles where she or her representation basically acted like it was a sacrifice that she had to audition to play Aubrey, and I think something was also said about the salary. To me, it seemed very silly, especially in an era when actors are getting less and less work. But it's been about a year since I read that so if I misstated, my apologies.

My good pal just passed me on some information from the lasted mags after I nudged him a little.

SOD says a very popular AMC actress is being considered for a major film role. This will further lessen her chances of signing on with PP.

So, as of now, we know that Lucci, Minshew and Budig are in negotiations. And possibly Stuase. So probably one of them.

Jerry Ver Dorn says he's heard PP is moving OLTL to the Royal Pains studio in Long Island City, Queens.

I wonder if that's the studio directly in the middle of Long Island City which I just remembered is Silvercup or the Kauffman Studios which is like closer to Astoria but I do believe still in Long Island City. I live so close to both, so this would have been fun if I was a OLTL fangurl.

I'm curious to know which studio it is. I know Royal Pains does a lot of it's exterior shooting way out on Long Island. This makes me so happy they are keeping production here. Just wish AMC would move back.

Just looked up where RP's films and it's Silvercup which is right before Queens Plaza (which is just a train hub but with a lot of new building being put up around that section) in Long Island City. Oh, Gossip Girl tapes there, if I had known I would have stalked a little back when I loved the show, lol.

I literally live less than a 5 minute walk away from Silvercup. Kauffman is like a 10 minute bus ride away.

How cool you live so close. I live in the East Village and I've passed the studios but have never taken a close look. I guess I'm going to have to play tourist and take a tour one day.

Royal Pains is doing some shooting here in Long Beach Long Island. Would love if OLTL did some shooting here.
