Believe me, I get where Helen Gallagher was coming from. However, RH's decline, for all intents and purposes, began when ABC was still independently owned. Cap Cities didn't purchase the network until 1985; and by then, it was probably too late to save that particular show. (Plus, I think more than one ABC soap actor has said in the past that they enjoyed the work more before Disney b/c Tom Murphy and his partners were very hands-off in regards to operations.)

"Killed" is putting it mildly. ;)

A decade-or-so of bad writing will do that to a man.

Seriously, DAYS needs to snap him up. He doesn't have to be Mike Horton, but he has a sizable and loyal fanbase that would be a boon right now to that show.

I don't think that publicist should have necessarily resigned over the tweet itself, especially if she were to apologize, but it sounds like she made things worse by lying to her boss about it (which I don't get why she would have, but she must have panicked), and for that and the tweet, it was right for her to resign.

The tweet showed really poor professional judgment. A PR person should've known better so on that level maybe stepping down was a good idea.

As for soap fans threatening her dry.png . Her resignation only empowers them to act out worse the next time someone dares to express an opinion they don't agree with. At some point, somebody needs to tell those people to go screw themselves.

I don't think anyone would have paid one bit of attention to what she said(I mean who even knew her) if DC had not put up a blog post on it. HOw else did all these soap fans know about this or have a clue who she was and start attacking her. I dont understand the mentality at DC with this. Sure she showed poor judgement and honestly in her profession should never have said it and she did the right thing by stepping down, but I also don't like DC being and sounding so cavalier about it. You get some feeling of power and success seeing someone who is basically a temp losing her gig over a comment on twitter more power to you while the people in charge move on status quo.
