I actually received a signed photo from her back on 2001. Sad enough the photo is still no among us But I think it would have been juicy to give some material for Morgan and Taylor, they did play a huge part with each other back in 2000-2001 but I also understand why the show wanted to pursue Tridge and Brooke/Ridge/Taylor triangle instead.

This has a lot of talk about early B&B, including Lynda Hirsch correctly inferring that Gail Kobe and Bill Bell may not work together long. She also roasts Bill Bell the way Chris Schemering did for the various mentions of "My God, man!" I am trying to remember if we actually got any of those (didn't Ridge used to say it?).

There's also a lot of mention of Stephen Shortridge, who never seemed to have anywhere near as much value on the show itself.

Sometimes I am surprised they never brought Dave Reed back for another doomed Brooke romance.

I don't have to tell you, that he was their “big get” when it came to casting.  He replaced John Travolta on Welcome Back Kotter and starred in the backdoor pilot for a guy spinoff of Charlie's Angels with Barbara Stanwyck.  He was certainly more famous than the lead singer of one-hit-wonder Player.

In the beginning, I always confused Dave and Thorn, as well as Ridge and Rocco, due to their similar hairstyles.

Side note: You know The Colby's was bad if Barbara Stanwyck thought the writing was worse than the guy Charlie's Angels script -- Toni's Boys .

I had forgotten he was on Kotter until the interview (I did watch that show to the end in reruns but the only replacement I remembered was Della Reese).

I should watch that spinoff pilot sometime.

Maybe he decided acting wasn't for him anyway as his last credit is two years later.

The interview also makes me appreciate more how clever it was for Bill Bell to use names like Storm or Thorne. That was a quick talking point for Hirsch with the show. And while I always made fun of it, looking back that's also something that made people I knew who rarely watched soaps always remember B&B

I'm left wondering if Lynda Hirsch how much access from her office in the Midwest?  I assume people called her to leak information all the time.  And she had press releases, interviews, and screener tapes.  But her insight into the character of John Conboy made me question if she was an insider or just a yenta?

IIRC Storm was a nickname given to Stephen Logan Jr. as he had a stormy temper. Much like William Foster Jr. was given the nickname Snapper for snapping at everyone.

I remember an interview with either Bill Bell or Bradley where it was mentioned Bill Bell got the name Ridge from a college classmate of Bradley's. Bradley even said that his classmate tells everyone "I'm the real Ridge". I don't where Bill Bell got Thorne from.

    • I felt the same way. Joss is insufferable -- self-righteous, sanctimonious, and entitled. I wanted Willow to knock her out. Do these writers know they're creating sympathy for Willow and Drew when they use characters we actively hate to answer them? The Gio performance was THE hottest violin performance I have ever seen. Great song choice with sexy, spectacular moves. I mean, WOW. That was soooo good. -- The "Holiday" performance with the medical workers all in scrubs was cheesy, but good. It was just professional enough to pass but not so good it looked like everyone was a hired dancer. And Isaiah can get it any time. -- Spinelli doing "These Boots are Made for Walking" was cringe. The excuse that he subbed for Tracy wasn't enough to make that watchable. Yes, he can carry a tune, but he's no singer and has no idea how to make lyrics work. In addition, his moves were like someone who never moved before. Hate to be a downer on this, but he was awful.
    • Looks like Thursday May 15 through Wed. May 21 (episodes 53-57) are all one "Fairmont day".  Still the same day as debut of nuTed.  Today Wednesday ends with everyone going to sleep, so I assume tomorrow Thurs. May 22 will be a new day.
    •   Thanks! so maybe blonde or maybe reddish-blonde, but hard to tell.
    • God, I wish Willow had punched that little whore right in the face. I get that GH wants to hate Drew and Willow but constantly trotting out the worst characters on the damn show to shame them doesn’t work and it never will. It just makes me want to do the exact opposite.  Luckily, Gio’s performance was immediately after that, and just as I expected, he killed it. He’s so talented and he had some really nice moves. And he looked good too

    • When I corrected Beverlee McKinsey's IMDb record it took me 4 attempts & an email to someone involved in their editorial process. But, I was successful, so keep a good thought. That you can show she is deceased at the time should make it easier.
