So what, OLTL and DAYS were completely shut out?

At least the hair people at AMC won, or else they'd only have a fired actor's win to celebrate... imagine how awkward that'd be!

At least they did not play the credits over the Best Show speech again.

I'm still trying to get over that embarrassing SuLute. AMC and One Life better get proper sendoffs next year though I am steady losing the power to care.

Knowing CBS and their off the hour scheduling it was probably planned to end at 10:01 pm or there abouts.

That's the worst part of it to me.

I remember a few years ago when they were showing the "fans" in these old country towns talking about the shows and we were talking about how stupid that was...but MAN, I would take THAT over THIS any day. My heart HURTS from seeing this. Daytime really has been destroyed.

Sigh...I can remember a time when the Daytime Emmy Awards were 95% about the soaps, and maybe 5% about everything else....now those numbers have been reversed.

Wow. It was like watching a speeding train wreck. Nominated performers were shown on screen for seconds, half of the audience was paying more attention to their phones than to those onstage. But the lowlight was Susan Lucci's proclamation that daytime tv is alive and all (or something to that effect) - and most in the audience kinda displayed that they knew otherwise.
