Kellie was not bad...hope it will be enough!! I like her, and the song she chose touched me!!

Brenna was "out there". I dont like her much..but then i do sort of like her!! She might go another round..but i dont think she will get into the final Top 12.

I like Stevie. She has a unique beauty and she was ok. However it was too damn soft of singing towards the end of her song. MAYBE she will last another round.

Lisa Tucker is powerful!! I hope she caught on to viewers because she is Top 12 talent.

Paris is a little spitfire but i think she tried to hard. She will make it though.

Katherine was awesome.

Mandisa was pretty good too!! Hope she makes it to the Top 12

Heather might be out.

Kinnik was ok...but i didnt really care for her much.

Ayla was fab!!

There were 5 or 6 that really caught my attention and that i am hoping will go to the Top 12.

Different strokes for different folks...the people I know love it, although quite a few (me included) have problems with the whole "Baby Mama" thing...but "It's All Good", "I Believe", and "Free Yourself" are true standouts IMO sung with sass, heart, and smoky R&B conviction.

For those who think Fantasia is so truly awful, who in current popular music do you think is good? I'm not asking in am argumentative manner; instead I'm just trying to gauge whether or not your musical tastes correspond to tthe music Fantasia is good at.

I still like Fantasia and Rueben more than Kelly. But as Randy stated recently, the winners have to know who the audience is who put them there. Kelly is making pop music for her pop fans. Fantasia and Rueben have made less mainstream music focusing on their R&B influences. If they are happy with the music they make, then great for them. But I never expected them to sell as big as Kelly who is making pop music for a wider audience. Carrie is still my favorite and I expect a long career ahead of her. Her album is a huge seller already.

I thought David Radford was good! He's unique, what this competition needs. But overall, the guys have all sounded bad. Not poor, but not as "striking" as the women were. This is a problem every season, it's why there seems to be a female winner more than male. All of the guys that could sing good did not sing good tonight.

So far Chris was the best and for once the judges agreed with that!!

Patrick did a good job. I didn't really like him much at first. Not sure why, but he won me over.

I didn't really think Bucky was all that. David and Will were good, though. I really liked them. Both were extremely likeable and endearing. Sway surprised me. I didn't expect that. The falsetto didn't do anything for me but he did good.

Chris was the best. I like him ten times more than I ever liked Bo or Constantine. I think Chris will win. I definitely do.

IMO, the guys have been much better than the girls. It's gonna be a close competition I think.

    • At this point Y&R's next step is to go fully green screen and have the actors Zoom from home.
    • I was just taking about this in the Y&R thread - they desperately need better studio space.

    • Hopefully they can expand some of the sets again. I watched some 04/05 episodes and forgot how much more grand the production used to feel. I wonder if YR will be staying put or going there or somewhere else as well.
    • DAYS posted the recipe! https://www.instagram.com/p/DKiMVZvuZje/ dayspeacock June 5, 2025 Tomorrow is National Donut Day! Here’s Alice Horton’s famous recipe! #NationalDonutDay #Donuts #Recipe #DOOL #Days #Daysofourlives #TBT Ingredients: 2 eggs 1 cup of sugar 1 cup of milk 5 tablespoons melted shortening 1-teaspoon vanilla extract 4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted before measuring 4 teaspoons baking powder ½ teaspoon salt 1 stick butter, melted Cinnamon Sugar In a large bowl, beat the eggs until foamy. Gradually add sugar, beating constantly. Stir in milk, shortening and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the wet ingredients, mixing well. Cover and chill the dough for 30 minutes to one hour for easier handling. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Spray baking sheet with vegetable cooking spray. Roll out or pat the dough on a lightly floured board to a half inch thickness. Cut with a doughnut cutter. Place the doughnuts and holes on the baking sheet, one inch apart. Bake for 10 – 15 minutes or until golden brown. Brush each doughnut and doughnut holes with melted butter and roll in Cinnamon Sugar to coat all sides. Makes about 36 doughnuts. Cinnamon Sugar: 1 cup of sugar 1 teaspoon of cinnamon In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, blending well.
    • "Jordan and Robert have the best brother chemistry. " They certainly did!  And that chemistry worked no matter who served as the protagonist in a given scene or story.  A shame that a full-blown story was never developed for those two.  Wouldn't have needed to be adversarial, either.  Maybe a serious, unexpected, long-term outside threat, business or personal, to one of the brothers with the other coming to his aid.

I was able to find most of them. I am not sure if you did 1974-1977 but I did not find it in the 70s thread. This is an amazing resource for EVERY soap.  1973 https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/41800-ratings-from-the-70s/page/78/#comments 1973 more research https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/41800-ratings-from-the-70s/page/80/#comments 1973 Update https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/41800-ratings-from-the-70s/page/82/#comments 1978 https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/50145-ratings-from-the-80s/page/135/#comments 1979-1988 https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/50145-ratings-from-the-80s/page/115/#comments 1989  https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/50145-ratings-from-the-80s/page/122/#comment-1876530 1990-1999  https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/58300-ratings-from-the-90s/page/11/#comments 2000-2004  https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/58300-ratings-from-the-90s/page/58/#comments
    • Mrs. H used the donuts to distract from the expensive jewels that she hid in the walls of her kitchen.  Now, it all makes sense...

I thought a smart cookie like Caroline Brady would've had the chance to hide a bauble of her own from her dalliance with Victor.
