June 3, 201114 yr Member Best Drama: B&B Best Writing: B&B Best Directing: GH Lead Actress: Susan Flannery Lead Actor: Michael Park Supporting Actress: Tricia Cast Supporting Actor: Jonathan Jackson Younger Actress: Lexi Ainsworth Younger Actor: Scott Clifton Don't count on B&B for Drama Series- I'm pretty sure GH is gonna take it. I doubt B&B will get writing either- ATWT and DAYS's submissions blew em out of the water, from what I've seen and read. Flannery is another one who probably isn't going to win. Lead Actress is Zenk's to lose. Stafford may sneak in there and Morgan has an outside chance, though it's very outside because her reel was only 6 mins long. The rest of your predicitions will likely come true, though B&B may overtake GH in directing, since it's likely they're losing Drama Series and Writing. Here's who I want to win Best Drama Series All My Children Best Writing The Bold and the Beautiful Best Directing General Hospital Lead Actress Alicia Minshew Lead Actor James Scott Supporting Actress Melissa Claire Egan Supporting Actor Jonathan Jackson Younger Actress Lexie Ainsworth Younger Actor Chandler Massey You're going to be severely disappointed then. AMC has no chance in Drama Series- the other 3 soaps submitted better. GH is gonna take it I think. B&B prob won't get writing- ATWT and DAYS submitted VERY strong tapes. I like Alicia Minshew more than most, but no way is she winning Lead Actress this year. As I've said, that category is Zenk's to lose, with Stafford possibly spoiling. Debbi Morgan has an outside chance- she's GREAT in her reel but it's WAY too short and there isn't enough for her to do. Egan submitted wrong- Cast is the likely winner, though I've heard Heather Tom and Nancy Grahn submitted strong tapes as well. Jackson & Ainsworth will take their respective categories. Chandler Massey has no chance- his reel is weak and very short- it's like 1 or 2 scenes long. Can't believe he got in with it. Now James Scott has a real chance- in fact, I watched the reels and think he's the front runner. His main competition comes from Michael Park, though his work is very subtle and nuanced and probably will go right over voters' heads. Maurice Benard has a shot too- he has some fine moments in the last 2 minutes of the reel, but the first half is all yelling and anger and shows no range. Also, he flubs his lines in a scene with Steve Burton and it's obvious. His reel is pretty uneven. Goldin submitted comedy- nice that he got nominated for it, but he won't win. And LeBlanc has NO shot at all- he does absolutely nothing noteworthy in his reel and I can't believe he got nominated with it. I'm nervous to say it because I don't wanna jinx it- DAYS hasn't had a win in Lead Actor since MacDonald Carey took home the trophy in 1975 & 76. But I really think it's James Scott's to lose and I'll be THRILLED for him if he wins!
