OUAT held it's own against NFL :D

http://www.tvline.com/2011/11/ratings-once-upon-a-time-mitch-albom/

Due to almost an hour’s worth of NFL game overrun on CBS, Once Upon a Time this Sunday was pitted against not one but two football match-ups, yet luckily managed to (mostly) slip the tackle.

The ABC freshman, which on top of all else was coming off a one-week bye, drew 10.7 million total viewers while scoring a 3.4 demo rating. That’s a dip of just 6 percent in total audience, and a forgivable 11 percent drop with the 18-49 crowd.

Interestingly, Once hit series highs in both the Teens (up 18 percent) and Kids 2-11 (surging 31 percent) demos. P.S. Who spied the Apollo candy bar that Henry brought along for his adventure into the hatch sinkhole?

P.P.S. Yes, that was a shard of Snow White’s glass coffin that Regina was sure to hide. P.P.P.S. As a tweeter reminded me, Archie’s dalmatian is named Pongo, heh.

What were you watching — cricket or football? (I’m here all night!)

That interview makes me want to stop watching Once Upon A Time now before completely disappoints me. I gave up on Lost by mid-season 3. The show had turned into a disaster. It was obvious that the writers were clearly "lost" and making up crap as they went along.

So far it seems that they definiately have a direction for the show and know where they are going. I am just worried that the show has to sustain a certain rating to survive, as it has be expensive to produce, and it will get axed before we get the answers ( and before we see Regina find her soul and lives happily ever after with Emma...sorry, those two have smoking hot chemistry and put Snow and Prince to shame!)

I know what you mean though, I LOVED Twin Peaks and was caught up in the mystery to find a stupid resolution to the murder, then the show morphed into something stupid with aliens or something.

Poor Graham. Poor Emma. That was so sad! Did anyone notice that the actor had a British accent when he was arguing with Emma in the scene when he kissed her? He was quite sexy. I will miss him. Regina is such a bitch. Ugh. Next time, I hope Emma pummels her treacherous ass. I would look forward to Regina getting hers, but this show in keeping with Lost no doubt will not have a satisfying end.

So Snow had a one night stand with the doctor. Oh well, David did go back to his wife.

So much for a ratings "drop" LOL ;)

Building sharply on its repeat lead-in (America’s

) opposite sports-driven competition during the 8pm hour from NBC’s big

game (NY Giants-Dallas Cowboys) and CBS’ NFL overrun-boosted programming, ABC freshman drama Once Upon A Time finished as the #2 entertainment program in its slot to the season finale of CBS’ Amazing Race XIX in viewers and young adults, while beating out the Amazing Race closer with Adults 18-34, Women 18-34 and Women 18-49. For the new series’ 7th consecutive broadcast,

qualified as Sunday’s #1 entertainment program with key Women(W18-34/W18-49).

    • I disagree.  I think MVJ has set up each character in the cast with specific traits over the past few months, including Dani.  Now we are seeing each react to Nicole's situation in their own way.  Dani being loud, Martin being raging, Kat being indignant and comforting, Anita being encouraging, Vernon being loving, and Pamela just being there unquestioning. If Dani had become a wallflower, that would not have fit her character.
    • They did when they first met. They bonded over the awful green tuna casserole their mutual Grandma Jo served at family dinners.
    • I have a feeling we won't truly be seeing their stories until the fall; right now, what they've inherited is the mess of the "writer", per their own admission.
    • This evil woman is really gonna frame Eva for Laura's attempted murder. Wow
    • I stopped watching Days for several months because the show was cartoonish and dumb as hell as written by Ron.  I starting watching again in March and I am happy to see improvements in the day to day scripts. However, Paula and Jeanne will need to start telling bold and intelligent stories to keep me watching.  Stephanie the romance novelist and Sarah's allergies aren't going to cut it for me. I'm sure Bo's return and John's death will be engaging and emotional but it will take strong long term stories to turn this show around. I really hope they can do it.
    • A partial episode from June 1985 was uploaded - I don't think it's been up before. You get Susan Marie Snyder's brief appearance. In a lengthy set piece where Rick is going undercover in some punk bar, he introduces himself to her. There's a surprising moment where when she says her name is Sam, he is thrown and is about to ask a very personal question before she further explains that it is short for Samantha. Grant Show is one of those guys who is classically very good looking, but I'm not sure how often I've ever actually felt attracted to him. This episode is an exception. He just looks hot as hell in what they put him in and how they do his hair and face. I can't say I go back to this period of the show very often, but I certainly am glad I watched this one.

    • I have no use for Derek but I was happy to see them exploring Naomi and Ashley's friendship again. More of that, please! I was stunned when Ashley asked Naomi about the Ted drama. We actually got a lot of interesting combos today. Tomas/Eva, Kat/Smitty, a rare Martin/Ted sighting and Vanessa/Nicole, among others. This was a good breather from all of the drama of the past few days. Because of pre-emptions I expected a random ending and not a proper cliffhanger but I literally jumped when I saw Leslie walk into Nicole's house! That was the perfect way to end things and along with the prevent, I'm excited to finally get back to a full 5 episodes next week!
    • I’m not going to take Dani seriously going off on Ted when she was willing to overlook all of Bill’s affairs in her own marriage and only got her feelings hurt when her ass was left. Absolutely hate that she’s getting a dedicated showcase scene like that - I think this is where MVJ’s personal friendship with Karla Mosley removes objectivity when writing for Dani as a character sometimes.
    • @slick jones An episode (maybe the only episode?) of Susan Marie Snyder's Ryan's Hope stint has popped up. June 1985. Her character's name is Samantha. I'll post the video in the show's thread.
