Debbie is fine..but MCE...meh.....If it wasnt for Colleen being nominated I wouldnt even watch this years Emmys. I cant believe ATWT only got 4 nominations. Julie shouldnt have gotten a nom again...she sucks and already won. That nod should have gone to ESS or he should have gotten the nom in place of the crappy writting nominee Jean Pissy got...UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I didnt care for the character. I think thats why I didnt care for MCE acting too.

I cant believe shitty GH got the most nominations.....most of the list blows......ugh

And Eric Sheffer Stevens with Michael Park and Maura West carried ATWT the last [!@#$%^&*] year!!

I absolutely disagree with Soapsuds love of Colleen Zenk. WHY was she nominated? In any Colleen Zenk scene I saw on ATWT, she always acted like she was acting. Beautiful, yes. Good actress, no. She won't win.

I couldn't disagree more. Colleen Zenk was one of the best things about ATWT the last few years. It was a shame though that TPTB had her spend too much time involved in Paul's storyline. When she got her own the last year she showed what an asset she was to the show. With more emphasis on her and Elizabeth Hubbard (another powerhouse) ATWT would have had a better chance of surviving. I hope that she gets the Emmy, because she deserves it!

They were great, but honestly, for me, ATWT's last year was carried by Liz Hubbard, Colleen Zenk and Trent Dawson. Dawson's omission is downright criminal, especially since I'm 99.9% sure that he submitted the Henry/Vienna wedding. That reel had it all- drama, comedy, drunk Henry- it was amazing and one of the best ATWT episodes of 2010. That's largely in thanks to Zenk & Dawson, with a dash of Don Hastings' one liners.

She was nominated because she carried ATWT in 2010 and gave the best performance in all of soaps throughout 2010. The only time where her acting was a bit much was in the Barbara and the Clown episodes, but you have to make BIG choices to make scene after scene after scene of playing off nobody but a stuffed clown even somewhat entertaining. To a degree, she managed to do that. But she was AMAZING during the Vienna/Henry/Barbara triangle- especially in scenes where Barbara was feeling alone, questioning her age. I remember a particularly poignant scene where Barbara is staring at herself in the mirror, looking at all her flaws and age, questioning whether she's lost her beauty and is washed up. Yes, Zenk is GORGEOUS and it's rumored that she wasn't thrilled with that aspect of the storyline. But she played it beautifully- every woman in America of a certain age could relate to what Barbara was going through- Zenk's emotions were palatable.

In short, Zenk gave the most human, layered, nuanced, and relatable performance of any actress in 2010 and not only earned her nomination, but the win as well. She submitted a knock-out performance (Henry & Barbara's wedding) that deserves recognition.

I did leave out Hubbard and Zenk. It was so refreshing to see them again along with Stevens, Park, and West. Had the show focused on them instead of Juicy Janet, Liberrty and so many useless characters.....ATWT would have been more enjoyable to watch. The show got that spark once they were featured.

    • So I think I figured based on the end credits who is the script writer for each episode. Thursday's episode looked to have been script written by David Kreizman, and it was a well written episode that flowed well. Today's episode looked to have been script written by Henry Newman (son of Fran Myers and the late Roger Newman).   Right now, I've noticed improvements on the day to day scripts and that's a good sign that eventually the long term outlines that we will see in the coming weeks and months will be good.  Fingers crossed.
    • I have a very different view of Dano. For one thing, she like me, loves her little dogs. Another thing, of course she is effusive, outgoing but she is also very vulnerable & she used to have her Frank, her mother & Vivian who officially was her publicist (I think) but she was so much more. Now, they are all gone. Well, except for her always having a pair of her little dogs. But, if I were going to think in your terms, what I would think is "cool aunt". Because this lady is really one cool dame. Here is one of my favorite views of her https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGecq8rJS4w/

    • I found it to be a rather odd way to deal with a character departing for parts unknown.
    • Today reminded me as to why I’m a little disappointed in the name that the new Pope chose

Luckily, EJ and Johnny, and pretty much every other character saved today’s episode.  I didn’t expect Javi to be the one to save Sarah though, and I don’t mind it at all, because if it means that Javi is finally going to get his own identity/character, away from his douchy bf, I’m all for it. Javi’s scenes would’ve been a lot better had it not been for him. EJ and Johnny were the best part of today. Their conversation hit a lot of important beats and I’m so looking forward to seeing them play out. And now that EJ knows that Johnny is going to work for Xander, that opens up another dynamic to their storyline and to the Kiriakis family storylines as well. Tying them all together could be really good. There are so many story possibilities that can come out of this. And I thought Carson Boatman did a pretty good job again too.  I also liked that Johnny was there to comfort Chanel after everything that happened with Sarah. They’re so good together. But I do have mixed feelings about Chanel possibly forgiving Johnny so quickly. Hopefully, the question that she asked him at the end of today leads to more conflict for the two of them.  And yeah, still no changes in Alex’s character lol
    • Awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to grab this episode. I had a quick review of your rip because I was curious why it was 700MB and 30 minutes. The first 10 minutes of the episode is 3169 (opening credits at 5 minutes and again at 15 minutes). I thought we had the full HD version of ep.3170 on the YouTube channel, but it appears they added the wrong episode but labelled it 3170.
    • I guess, according to Mike Manning in the Michael Fairman chat, he was almost Derek
