YOUNG AND RESTLESS has plans to hire actors from ONE LIFE TO LIVE and ALL MY CHILDREN. "We are seeking out some very talented actors," shares co-head writer Scott Hamner."The Y&R writers are heartbroken and devastated that our other soaps have been cancelled. Our hearts go out to all of the people who are now out of jobs. So, in many ways, we feel a responsibility to make [Y&R] as good as possible in order to pay homage to those other soaps." With the soap landscape shrinking, the existing soaps are also focused on making changes that will be viewed as improvements. Hamner acknowledges, "We also feel the pressure to make the show good."

This has got to be some kind of joke. Geez, how many AMC refugees would that make over the last couple of years. My count is at 6 (Haiduk, Miller, Heinle, Hendrickson, Riegel, Branson).

They are so trying to make Y&R the next Santa Barbara. Y&R is like a kid in the candy store right now.

But WTF you're seeking talented actors? why is Josh Kelly on this list.

If they hire DM on Y&R, she's going to play Sofia mother. I hoping that the guy that plays her son will come over too. But that probably too many black guys on one show. So, I'm hoping B&B would recast Donna & Justin son.
