At approximately 12:44, Peter Bergman talks about his time on All My Children with tears and fondness. I've heard this story before but hearing him tell it again made me weep.

Wow - 15! I don't think I realized she was that young when she started. I know she's promoting something else, but I'm just going to hope this means they're pouring SMG back on the Hallmark AMC movies that may or may not actually happen :P Actually, I really love Alicia Minshew, so I'd be torn.

My, this was so special and I teared up listening to his story. I love that he still has a brick from the old studio that was torn down, and that he still has the fondest memories of AMC. Seems like it was his favorite set to work on to-date.

Do we know why he left AMC for Y&R - was it his decision or the shows?

I remember my mother loving Cliff and Nina. He left AMC in 1989, so I have the vaguest memories of him, but it wasn't until 1990 when I can recollect storylines. Sadly I have never watched Y&R, but happy to hear he's still there and won some Emmys for his work.

I believe he was fired.

I first saw him on Y&R, so I never knew of him on AMC. I once loved his work on Y&R - a long time ago, sadly.

As I went through some of '80s AMC I was surprised at just how much the show seemed to lose their interest in Cliff and how many times Cliff left the show. That made me less surprised at his being let go.

As far as AMC (and maybe the fans) were concerned Cliff didn't exist without Nina-hence the 2 Nina recasts and Taylor's returns.

But Nina was the same. Any other involvements just seemed like obstacles to an eventual reunion with Cliff.

Cliff never had a family built around him apart from his sister who arrived years later. But then neither did Tom (apart from Sean) but he seemed to be better developed than Cliff and had more longevity. Maybe because he moved on from Erica and even Brooke.
